No One Has An Answer For What The Milwaukee Bucks Are Doing.. | NBA News (Giannis, Khris Middleton)

Well, even with the Milwaukee Bucks pushing through the first portion of the 2022-23 NBA season without their 2nd best player in Khris Middleton returning from injury, Giannis Antetokounmpo has still managed to lead this team to the best record in the NBA. But with Khris Middleton’s return, along with many other factors some might tend to forget, the Milwaukee Bucks might be better than we’ve ever seen them.
Aside from the Milwaukee Bucks big three in Giannis, Khris Middleton & Jrue Holiday, while they all are able to create offense themselves, the pieces the Bucks have surrounded these three with have resulted in an ever-growing offense. Because with guys like Bobby Portis, Brook Lopez, Grayson Allen, Jevon Carter, Pat Connaughton, new acquisition Joe Ingles and even rookie Marjon Beauchamp, there’s almost an over abundance of options to allow for such a high free-flowing offense.
And then in terms of the Bucks defense, Mike Budenholzer might have found the perfect formula. Because by using both Giannis & Brook Lopez as defensive anchors to hold down the post & pushing all others to lessen three point opportunities, it has resulted in the potential best defense in all of basketball.

The return of Khris will be huge for this team entering the postseason. Even in his 1st game back he made our offense look so good against the Lakers. The Giannis & Khris PnR has been deadly since our championship season, and with the new defensive scheme Budenholzer has deployed this year to stay a little tighter to shooters on the arc, the Bucks again look like the best team in the NBA. This idea may sound a little far fetched, but Khris Middleton should come off of the bench until he completely shakes off all of the rust. Honestly, I think iso scorers play a little better coming off of the bench. Besides, the Bucks perform a lot better when they are playing off the ball. This Bucks team reminds me of the 2014 Spurs with the fluid ball movement.

It's not a bad idea imo. Like another comment said it's about rotations. If they can figure out a way to have him play more against backups I do think that's a good idea to help him get in the groove but I think the Bucks and Middleton will be fine regardless. On top of that The bucks have depth that you rarely see in an nba team. The system they have built In Milwaukee is unique and effective. Coach Bud could be in talks for Coach of the year every year. The Bucks are just a well constructed team, top to bottom. They've surrounded Giannis with enough shooters and playmakers where the infamous "wall" doesn't work anymore and they can all hold their own on defense while being assets on offense. Brook is the least talked about starter and he has proven he can drop 30 it need be, while being elite at protecting the rim.

@@strawhatben-5742they actually match up pretty poorly. Robert Williams is a great rim protector but he’s too small to stop Giannis and Brook Lopez can space him out as well as overpower him. The Bucks have an answer for Jaylen Brown and Marcus Smart in the form of Jrue Holiday and Jevon Carter. Giannis can guard Al Horford or help with Jayson Tatum. Wesley Matthews, Khris Middleton and MarJon Beauchamp are all good wing defenders and will likely all get assignments on Tatum when they’re matched up together. Giannis averaged 34 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists last year without his second best offensive player. The efficiency was down but I imagine next time they play the production will go down and the efficiency will massively go up due to Middleton’s gravity.

Not to mention, the Bucks have at least 7 players who play outstanding defense. Giannis, Holiday, Lopez, Portis, Carter, Allen, and Matthews. This team can defend both the interior and perimeter. Also, due to their size, they can limit their opponents ball movement. They are not too big or too small. They are big enough to shadow smaller players, but still small enough to be quick to guard the 3 pointers.

Warriors played Jokic, Ja and the Grizzlies, (Ja Got Injured, was a competitive series) and one man show Luka, then ultimately played the Celtics with Tatum the fraud and they just didn’t have it in them to beat them. The ECF was better than the Finals imo up until game 7, after game 4 of the Finals it was clear Curry just wanted it more and even the DPOY couldn’t stop Curry. Tatum showed flashes of inconsistency prior to the Finals. Also for the record that Bulls series was competitive if you go back and actually watch it, so to his point nobody can make it seem like there was any question on whether The Warriors were losing to any of those teams, me and my cousin literally called every series, this year is gonna be completely different. Tatum playing like trash was the icing on the cake to my statement

The Bucks have incredible wing depth (Wes, Connaton (sp?), Marcelle Beaocomp (sp)p, they have Giannis, they're big and tall. They're not too egotistical. Pelicans and Bucks are similar in that way.

I see the pelicans as the younger version of the bucks. Zion and BI as younger versions of Giannis and Middleton. Both have a lot of depth at the wing positions and some great shooters. I think we saw the difference between Zion and Giannis earlier this week when Zion Looked good in parts but Giannis (in his prime) was absolutely dominating

I’m a bucks fan so might be a tad bias, but when everyone is FULLY HEALTHY, only the Celtics can compete with them…. But jn a 7 game series, I can’t foresee any team in the league beating them 4 out of 7… Giannis is the most UNSTOPPABLE PLAYER IN THE NBA , Middleton is great, holiday imo is even getting better and I think the 2nd best player on their team, ingles is back and should get back into form in the coming months, Grayson Allen is adding new pieces to his game, and Bobby portis is AMAZING!
