I think this house has a very 60’s look about it. I’m 71 years old. I remember when I was 20 the popular colors for kitchen appliances and washing machine and dryer were avocado green, harvest gold and copper tone brown. The popular colors for bathtubs and sinks were blue and pink and yellow. The fuzzy wallpaper, red shag carpet, beveled glass brass light fixtures, we’re the go then. Cool house. The view is spectacular. Great video.

I would absolutely live there. Keep the decor as is. I remember shag carpet. I also remember having to “rake” it to keep it from matting. Great house. Shame it will be demolished. Hopefully not.

Cringing to see this house with so much character will be demolished, i just love that house. Whatever they build in its place will not be anywhere near as interesting and unique. Such a bummer.

The pendent lighting in that first bath are not cheap. The room with the blue carpet, when I was a kid my family lived in a house that had similar wallpaper. That is a really cool bar and that red shag carpet hahaha. You can still buy carpet rakes. Those mirror tiles are either peel-n-stick or the glue on ones, and you can still purchase new ones. That was a good wind-chime. That was a dinning room sideboard in that storage closet.

7:06 I know that was for an elevator but it hadn't been installed yet. The sheetrock in the shaft looks fresh and has not been discolored by time and use, also no markings where elevator tracks would be mounted. Maybe the occupant's condition deteriorated faster than the elevator could be finished or the home was bought out during installation. Why remove the elevator which would decrease the home's value? Thanks for the tour Noah! 🤠👍 (2nd view 😉)

Very NICE , shameful that it will be demolished.. those cabinets were pristine with the same pattern I have in my kitchen on the doors panels but they are in MUCH BETTER condition

That basement seemed to go on forever….. I was waiting to see a bathroom in it and almost thought there wasn’t one then it appeared. For me it would be MOVE IN READY accept getting rid of that mold and a few changes here and there …. I’m not one to go extreme on updating probably eventually getting rid of some wallpaper and carpet .. maybe even replace what was in that space that was removed . NICE EXPLORE Thanks for the tour

Beautiful house. I would love to live there after the mold was removed. I grew up in the 60's & 70's This would have been a very expensive house for its day. Too bad they can't move it to another lot. Thanks for showing it to us --- Debbie

That house should be saved as a museum to preserve the ambience of the 70's right down to the red shag carpet and the carpet rake! Love, love, love the bar design and accoutrements. Awesome explore. Thanks for reliving the 70's for me! 👏👍❤🇺🇸

A German owned this house. You saw all the german books etc. so that room in the basement with the jars was where he brewed his beer. Those big jars are known as carboys, home brewers ferment their beer in those.

This is a nice house for as small as it was. They utilized the space very well. Other than the water damage in the basement the home was in decent shape, too. That’s very pleasing to see. Great explore, Noah!

Hi, Noah ! Ok, that house looks from 1970's everything inside tells me because I had the same things back in 1972. Those wallpapers style were first introduced in 1970 it was the " mod " look. Also when passing by paintings or artwork please do a close-up because we can provide sometimes the artist name or the name of the paintings. Now it looks like the man of the house was, German and the lady might have been from, Peru both represented by their maps respectively and artwork from, Peru like the, Viracocha the Sun God. Great job.

Intense nostalgia watching this. Evokes primordial memories. God I’d love a place like this, anyplace really. Something about it is so lively. It tells stories of the past in a very personable way, as you said, really frozen in time. Because it was so well preserved, it really is like stepping into the past. You can the people at the bar as if they’d been there the night before.

@kristen34896 Жыл бұрын
My guess for what was ripped out maybe it was an assisted device like a lift or something? (As now you just said lol). He more than likely made his own beer with the big glass containers. The house was pretty radical! It’s in great shape for being that old.

That was a really great find and explore. For me, a blast from the past! I had all of my four children in the seventies, l remember shag carpet was a real hassle to clean properly, but nice to walk on. That bar was really something, they must have entertained a lot!
