There seem to be a bunch of people testing these same devices, and many were given the units by the company that makes them. If so, did Workshop Addict receive yours free. And if yes, did you have to sing a paper that restricted or limited what you were able to say or not able to say?

Hi , I own a NOCO GB 70 and I can tell you that is a great product. This unit is pack with quality . I use it to start a 3 lit. diesel Audi in a very cold morning. It starts the engine like I had a new battery in it. Then I think it to start a bulldozer with 6 lit. diesel engine . Very cold morning . All was frozen.dead batteri on buldozer . I was highly happy when I turn on the key. In five seconds the engine started.....easy . Fantastic product.

I watched the video and I clearly saw that these guys were not able to start a 4.0 liter engine and I know that they know what they are doing. However this was not my experience at all. I just bought one of these and the first thing I did was test it on my Chevy Silverado with a 5.3 liter engine. I disconnected the cables and hooked the GB40 up direct using the boost mode this thing started my truck 12 times in a row taking the charging light down to 75%. I couldn't be more pleased with it because all I'm interested in is it being capable of jumping truck not twelve times but one time just enough to get me home or to a repair shop and the one I bought will do exactly that.

I have the gb40.. I have used it a few times.. I have a Lincoln MKX and the battery has been weak for some time now and i havent changed it yet.. One day i left the radio on too long, and after trying to sit and wait for the car battery to build charge, i finally decided to walk over to Autozone to buy a boost pack.. I decided on gettin the gb40 bcuz of the price and the 6Liter max on the box.. I was hopin it was precharged, since the salesman did not know.. When i turned it on, it had a 25% charge right out the box, but i still wasnt sure it that was gonna be enuff, since the starter wasnt even turnin the engine any more.. But after hookin it up, my vehicle started up without any hesitation.. I charged the pack up thru the lighter over night, and now its at 100% full charge.. It stays in the car now.. :-)

I have a GB70 for my car, and a GB150 for my truck. I like the GB150 because it has a volt meter on it. I can see the battery voltage as soon as it is connected. With the GB70, I have to use a separate volt meter. I often charge them using the USB using a USB 2 Amp mobile phone charger. I keep each one in their own carry case with their accessories. I also have the dedicated NOCO fast charger, which is better with the GB 150.

+Alan Locklear Alan, while this did not start our Jeep without the battery, it did start it with a dead battery. I feel the GB40 is a great option for an engine of this size. We did some unconventional testing and we do not want to harm the GB40 or the vehicle.

The NOCO GB40 will accommodate most cars and crossovers, but if you have a truck or an SUV with a larger engine, the GB70 is a better option. The 1,000-amp GB40 will handle gas engines up to six liters, which covers a majority of half-ton trucks and every small to midsize sedan or SUV. If you have a “daily driver,” the GB40 offers enough juice to fire up your struggling car battery on a cold morning. Although NOCO designates the GB70 as the “truck model,” the GB40 can accommodate smaller diesel powertrains up to three liters in displacement. The 2,000-amp GB70 will jump gasoline engines up to eight liters and diesel powertrains that are six liters in displacement, including late-model HD trucks. As a more muscular alternative to the GB40, the GB70 is designed to handle the rigors of heavy-use trucks and vans, including those that may be part of a fleet or in service as construction, delivery, or farm vehicles. If you have a smaller vehicle but like the idea of the GB70’s extra capacity, you can still use it without damaging your battery. The GB70’s heft and power are throttled back automatically when it recognizes it’s attached to a smaller battery.

@WorkshopAddict9 жыл бұрын
+Ray Ortines In a way you could...... You would be connecting it to the battery and adding some more amps and possibly raising the voltage to normal. If the car started, it could indicate a weak battery. But there are times when a starter is going bad and this extra power could help the car start. It would not be the end all tool, but one that would work 80 percent of the time or more.

There more expensive the Lithium Iron but do a much better job a friend of mine has one sorry do not remember the manufacture, price about $180 if i remember correctly and i witnessed him jump a diesel skip loader, I think it worth spending the extra because when you need it you need it to work.

No the GB70 does not come with a ob2 memory saver. That would be an accessory you can purchase separately

Hi I have gb40 more than 2 years. I can tell this unit can't start up to 6Liter. In case the battery for the car is dead , can't start even 3.0 litre while some cheaper jump starter can do. If you want to bay noco product go for gb70. It won't let you down like gb40. But becearful from one problem. There is commen problem from noco product. The battery inside has balloon .if you leave the product in high or low temperature the balloon will pump and the case will open. After tow years many people complain from this problem. Some says I don't leave it in high or law temps. You can check this problem in KZbin. Thanks & Sorry for my bad English

I was on Amazon looking to buy the GB70, it asked what vehicle I wanted it for, I entered Chevy Equinox 2019 and it said it won't fit. It's a 2.0 turbo any idea why it won't fit, anyone know why? Thanks

Use a USB B cord and let it charge for 14-18 hours or use the cigarette lighter and charge it in a few hours.

The GB40 left my wife’s 6 cylinder car stranded at 4:30 am in 35 degree temperature one cold, rainy, windy morning at work....she shut her car off and it wouldn’t start back up, so she remembered I put the GB40 in her car for peace of mind... she hooked it up and it wouldn’t crank the engine even one full revolution, so from there on out we only use it to start lawnmowers... 😡 however, I just bought the GB70 and hopefully it has big enough cohones to get the job done, plus some! I should’ve went big in the first place, but I thought since the package said it was rated at 1000 amps it would’ve had more than enough kick for the job, but unfortunately later I found out the only thing they “AMPED” up, was them numbers for marketing purposes! 😡

This isn't that good if I'm honest.I have a 2002 Porsche 996 Turbo and this has failed on a number of occasions to start mine.There was still some power in the battery of my car as well but this didn't work which resulted In me having to take off the Battery and charge it at home! Not as good as its claimed to be Imo
@WorkshopAddict5 жыл бұрын
Interesting. are you sure you had a good ground? That should be an easy start.
@sinistercharger5 жыл бұрын
@@WorkshopAddict I had the it connected to the positive and negative on the Battery Terminals and I left it for around 30 seconds then turned the key but it wouldn't start.My interior lights etc were on so I know there was some power left in the Battery.I tried it a couple of times and no joy.I checked the nocco and it had dropped to just 3 led's from the original 4.I moved the charging cable clips around on the Terminals and tried again but the Starter was just clicking over and nothing.This has happened before when I tried to start my Porsche with it too.
@WorkshopAddict5 жыл бұрын
@@sinistercharger What I was saying is that it sounds more like the car has a bad ground, not the NOCO. You should notice more power with the NOCO, if not, there is something else going on. I am not standing here saying they are the best things since sliced bread, but they do work in most situations. We are talking about a 300 hp inline six right? I started my Jeep with no battery and you still had a little battery left. How is the car running and starting now?
@sinistercharger5 жыл бұрын
@@WorkshopAddict It s Standard 2002 996 TURBO..No modifications..They are known for having Battery drains if you leave them for a couple of weeks.I tried out the Nocco when I first got it about 2 months ago and connected it to the Terminals and it made the clicking noise from the unit and the Led'S were cycling through etc and It wouldn't start it...I have the Battery on my home charger now after taking it off the car.it's a Heavy Duty Bosch.If I were to put it on the car now it would start up straight away now that its charged and run fine.It has started it once before but twice it hasn't including last weekend
