My first shiny in Scarlet was a male Combee, there was a swarm of them in one of the first towns, and in the back there he was! His name is Honey and I love him very much I wasn’t even an hour into the game, I was on a call with my best friend and I just said “That is a very shiny bee… that won’t evolve but we love him still!”

I had a similar experience, before even my second gym I found a shiny Salandit in the cave near the water gym. It really caught me off guard, because there was no shine or fanfare or anything, the shinies are so... casual in this game

Not sure if there was some mixed up footage, but the pond visible around 11:00 are actually in Area One, and the footage shows more travel around Area One as well, which means Noki did in fact leave the area they were locked in. I think that means a full reset. I don't make the rules 🤷‍♀

Seeing the Iron Valiant on the thumbnail gave me flashbacks… When I shiny hunted it(ended up getting it and it had the Zero Energy mark!) I found a shiny Iron Jugulis like 5 minutes in, and then the instant after I caught it and the battle ended I got jumped by a shiny Sableye! It promptly got KO’d by a random crit 😔 I did make up for it at least… 3 shiny Larvestas in 30 minutes with one fire shiny sandwich, then a pair of shiny Sandygast the day after! And during my second day of playing the game I found a full odds shiny Swablu, whom I named Scrample Egg and promptly added to my team. She has since been retired because, unfortunately, Altaria doesn’t have a great movepool and it gets outclassed by many other Pokémon that don’t have a 4x weakness to ice. I do still use her rarely for 4 star raids against dragon tera Pokémon because I like to think at least someone out there will appreciate seeing a shiny Altaria named Scrample Egg battling alongside them. My team kinda rotates nowadays, including other(intentionally hunted) shinies. Most notably, Cornbread(Revavroom), Pyracantha(Armarouge)(I have Violet and spent almost an hour using a trade code trying to get the auspicious armor because unfortunately I don’t like Ceruledge’s shiny…), Fatalii(Volcarona), Poppy Seeds(Palossand), and Iron Valiant. I haven’t decided what I’ll hunt next, but I’m thinking either Ralts or Zorua.

RNG is still RNG, I didn't get any shinies in my half hour sandwich and then two random shinies within like half a minute after the sandwich ended. I made sure that klawf was my first shiny hunt as soon as I saw its shiny, and I decided to get an outbreak of it and hunt it that way. Ended up finding the shiny with about 2 minutes left on my sandwich, and then I cleared out the outbreak and found another. which was marked. I think shiny klawf might just have a better chance of being marked. Great video, excited for the rest of the series!
