If you look at the Middle East (Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Turkey, etc.) countries and then at some of the Maritime SEA (Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei) countries, the Islamic cultures are very different even though majority of the population on both areas are muslims.

Africa holds 1/3 of the world’s Muslim population. Muslims constitute 40% of the population of Africa out of the estimated 1,307 million as of 2020. So given those facts alone, it was indeed interesting that Africa was not mentioned. It would be illogical to mention “every single country” in the context he was speaking. Because their religion, put them off believing in God. Its actually easier, for athiests and agnostics to come to Islam. Since its a new religion, and that leads them to believe in God again.
