It’s too bad that hyperbaric oxygen therapy treatment is so expensive here in the US. Insurance won’t cover it and it’s too cost prohibitive for me to try. Gez’s videos have been very helpful.

If you get COVID, REST REST REST during and AFTER too. Dont make any extreme lifestyle changes, or extreme workouts. Take it real easy for about a month after the acute phase. ALL of us with LC have inadvertently, put ourselves through some sort of stressful life event, or big project, or long hike right after. Please learn from us.

Gez thankyou so much for doing these videos. You have hit the nail on the head, or my head for me. Everything you have said resonated with me. I actually was moving house, a week after Covid ( delta strain), plus a very toxic, now ex girlfriend probably did not help. Its refreshing to learn us long haulers can actually do something, as our normal GP 's know nothing about this subject. Im working my way through this and 2 years on, but your videos have been a great help and have kept me motivated. Thankyou and God bless ❤

I would also like to say that rest and relaxation are luxuries, it’s not a choice for a lot of people, especially the working class, or people with special needs children, there is no choice. So when we have unavoidable stress 24/7 and no extra funds to pay for healing therapies, what are the options?
@hyperbaric

Excellent comment. Especially for women who are excelling in so many different areas in life, career, motherhood, caring for aging parents, etc. i found that for me, I need to make a conscious decision to stop, relax, go to bed early, etc. a lot of it has to do with personal boundaries, learning ro say “no”, etc. stopping even for 15 mins really helps, it doesn’t have to be hours. As a society we need to re-think how we live our lives, learn to reach out for support when we cannot carry on, and provide support to those in need

@@hyperbaric Thank you for taking the time to reply. I agree there are small changes we can make, it's just sometimes there are no options and there's becoming less and less support available for vulnerable people, especially in the UK.

I@mrfunkyman6860 i tried to say "I don't have the luxury to rest" and went back to work as soon as I could manage. Then it got worse. And worse. And then I needed a cane. And then I couldn't leave bed. And then suddenly I was quite nearly dying. The choice was taken away. So now when my symptoms come back I have to rest at all costs- just had to turn down a high paying second job because I'm in a low period again.

You hit the mail on the head. LC has taken me on a health journey that I would have otherwise never sought out had I not had something wrong that 3 ER visits and 2 check ups couldn’t give any answers. I was fit playing tennis 12 hours a week 5’8 160 lbs so I thought I was healthy, but metabolically ,after blood work, I saw my blood glucose was entering pre diabetic range. I smoked weed and drank about 5 alcoholic beverages a week. This condition led me to fasting both intermittent and prolonged 3 day fast ( between all the supplements that I tried niacin, magnesium, omega 3 , vitamin d3 K2, curcumin, vitamin E, nattokinase, quercitin, bromalein, probiotics, Turkey tail chaga rieshi lions mane mushrooms, diet changes fruit only, keto, vegan, carnivore) the thing that helped my Pots, brain fog tachycardia, tinnitus, tingling limbs symptoms the most and made them disappear was a 3 day fast. Now I only have shortness of breath, congestion with no boogers or mucus I just feel my nose is blocked up really and fatigue still but I can walk without my HR jumping to 150 BPM and my avg resting HR is back down to 60 from high 80s. I noticed drinking salt water else my nose feel less blocked though.

HBOT and everything Gez talks about are very helpful, too. But remember, oxygen/CO2 exchange can't happen with clogged up micro vessels. And also remember, until peole are better, they need to try and profilacticly prevent pathogens especially viral, so, again, ivermectin, monolaurin, etc. Look at FLCCC protocols. Finally, if you can, get something like a FitBit Sensa 2 so you can monitor sleep patterns because deep healing happens in deep sleep. Also, use a BP cuff laying down, sitting and standing up. Also, use a pulse ox with profusion index, and glucometor. Knowing all your vitals is important to see if you need BP or heart rate meds temporarily. Berberine can be very helpful in many ways, but especially in lowering epithelial inflammation. Also collagen peptides, good fat/oil, a touch of honey,, and pure cocoa (excellent polyphenols).

I tried oxygen therapy and after one week had severe chest pain they tried to lower pressure and time but unfortunately it didn't work for me with long covid. I did not get energy like others got. Even had two friends do it for long covid helped them out. Not sure why it didn't agree with me but didn't. Glad I stopped few days later found out I had two collapsed lungs not sure if it was from the oxygen chamber but doctor thought from 2nd covid symptoms. It did help my inflammation go down CRP levels. But have not checked to see if it possibly could be back up. Also found 7mm lung nodule on lung. Another CT scan soon to check everything out. 🙏

NOTE: I asked Gez Medinger about HBOT in the comments of one of his videos, and this is what he said: "HBOT definitely helps, but has only been short term relief for me (and many others). Doesn’t seem to resolve the underlying issue, just temporarily masks it." Not a great endorsement when you consider the outrageous cost!
@hyperbaric
@hyperbaric Ай бұрын
With HBOT for almost any indication MULTIPLE sessions are needed. If not, the effect is marginal. In my experience, those who finished the x number of sessions felt a huge relief in their symptoms. As a naturopathic doctor I personally believe in combination of therapies for the best effect. I have seen really good results when HBOT was combined with life changes and other therapies. In my opinion for those deeply affected by long COVID (myself included) HBOT can be quite helpful. If you are still suffering from Ling COVID I wish you all the best in your recovery.
