In 1985 I sent Chrismas Cards to all the News Network Anchors. The only person who sent me a Card back was Dan Rather of CBS News. He personally typed the address and personally signed the Card. I was absolutely surprised. Shows the integrity of Mr. Rather. Took the time to do that. Quite a thrill for someone he never knew.

I’m happy to be a journalist, and to try and just do my job honestly, informing people about what’s happened, trying to highlight important issues, help other people if I/we can, and just to continue keeping a watchful eye on The Man and The System. Please give a thumbs-up if you value honest, decent journalists and a free press and media anywhere... :-)

Just a request. Please dont do what so many people are doing these days. If you're reporting the news, report the facts. Too many people put a spin on it, or give their take and opinion on it. There is nothing wrong with that, but that is not news.
@MariaMartinez-researcher5 жыл бұрын
@@agentK1896 In times like these ones, being a drone reading an aseptic description of facts won't be enough. Remember Trump's inauguration? Fact: many people showed up, not as many as Obama's first one. Next day, Spicer barks at the press that was the greatest inauguration crowd in history-period, and the following day, when asked about the consequences of using the Press Secretary to say such things, Kellyanne said those were "alternative facts." So, don't expect journalists speaking about children in cages, corruption, and dealing with racists remarks by the POTUS with no show of the emotions any decent human could show according to the situation, nor explanation of why those things are harmful to society. By the way, sometimes in the Fox channel they upload some segment from the journalists that do the News part of Fox News, and the most comments they get is they are all liars who should go to CNN. Because they report the facts, not the alternative facts. See the problem?

"Journalism is what we need to make Democracy work".... and we're seeing the profession attacked on the daily because Trump doesn't want a transparent office.. not even close. And it's beginning to mirror what Russian journalists go through daily, but with more frightening ramifications. So, thank you all reporters who report the facts and stand on the firing line.

One thing that Trump has right, is that corporate media sucks. ALL corporate media, and Fox is the biggest of them. If someone tells the real truth on corporate media, or refuses to follow the corporate edict from management, they're fired.
@ursaltydog5 жыл бұрын
@@AZOffRoadster True.. corporate media sucks..And he took advantage of the free campaign time given by every single one of those corporate owned media outlets.. Right about FOX as well.. the network pretends to chastise the more singular show hosts, but allows them to continue for a time, until they make no money. But with hosts like Maddow on the secretly conservative MSNBC, they can't fire until their contract runs out without a very good reason.. If they're popular, they'd prefer not to take them out, unless they become unprofitable and weigh that against the time and terms of their contracts.
