LOL Jay mentioned about "dance classes", I was alone workin in Germany, I decided that I needed to meet people, so I started going to Latino dance clubs, 3 days a week usually on weekends, after about 2 years, I met and became good friends, and I also met my wife....lol, i didn't know how to dance, but i learned by watching, then i started doing it myself, that lead me to ask for a dance....it worked lol. Honestly, most of the best people that I know, are Dominicans, and I'm Canadian, they all say that Canadians are nice...well, I can tell you, try to do the same thing that I did in Germany, in Canada....good luck.

See you are proof that that strategy can work. So that wouldn't work in Canada?

James y Norberis every suggestions you give are just correct. It is not hard or difficult to make friends in the DR. One of the easiest entry level ways to start meeting people is at the airport. You need a taxi to get to your destination. A lot of these taxi drivers know at least a little English, some know a lot. Strike up a conversation, see if this is someone you want to call again while your there to take you somewhere. Get their number. You can use the same person again each time you go to the Dominican Republic, you and this person can build a friendship which will make it much easier when you finally live there. Great topic guys, great topic, love it👍👍👍

This is a good video. I’m here now in Santa Domingo now and these are good suggestions I didn’t think of. The biggest thing is to learn the language, even if you learn just a little bit. Edit: there are also a ton of Americans that I’m seeing here this time. I’m just running into them randomly. So if you’re coming from America, you will run into some other Americans that you can talk to.
