Kareem would do better as the co-host. Someone needs to be moderating the discussion and keeping it moving like an EJ type. No offense to Kareem, but he's more of the "introverted" type.

Jamaal Wilkes (20 ft layup) did have the best hands in the league. I can remember Magic throwing a back cut to Wilkes under the hoop at a million miles/hr and Silk somehow always snatched the rock with 2 hands and finish. Those 2 had a unique unspoken chemistry. Stormin' Norman, Kareem, Magic and crew were not only the best fast break team ever, but they were the best half court offense of their time as well. These are my OG's.

Damn I loved Norm's game. He mentioned Sweet Lou Hudson brings to mind Devin Booker. Devin Booker is Sweet Lou on steroids 😂😂😂. That group of guys, with Kermit and Kareem was super scary. They would kick your arse you gotta outta line. 🤭🤭🤭 Enough can't be said about Spencer Haywood. Sure,he had his problems but truth is he is the reason players can leave college and go pro. This is when guys basketball fundamentals pushed the standard to be what the league is today. People don't understand the Lakers, if you only joined in when Magic came. These guys should say more and do more in terms of speaking of their era. I grew up pushing the ball down court because,of Norm. He was a blur on the break. And can't forget Silk Wilk. People never fully understood Silk's game. He was a master at moving without the ball. It was a fluidity and IQ to Lakers ball that is the foundation that Magic and then Kobe inherited. I remember Cassie Russell too. I attended his highschool in Chicago. He was a legend at Carver. Thanks guys. I grew up on yous.

RA. people always mention MAGICS' coming out 🥳 party in the 1980 finals against DOC & his 6ers. I'm watching 👀 the contest in gm.6 at the SPECTRUM. Maj jumps center, plays all positions. I kept askin myself as the INEVITABLE! unfolded that the Lakers would win the 🏆 trophy: " WHO! tf! Is guarding WILKES"? Silk, who already got uh championship 5 season earlier in 1975 with G.S. was UNCONCIOUS! his fg% was somewhere at the 54%. 10rebounds. 5 of 5 from the stripe & played all but 6minutes.

The interesting thing about the Showtime Lakers of the early 1980s was position-changing in four quarters of a game. When Magic and Stormin’ Norman was on the court together Nixon was the point guard🏀and Magic was the point forward🏀. When Nixon was resting on the bench Magic would become the point guard🏀I loved the position-changing of Lakers players back in those days.

This is the good Winning Time brought about, there is a real interest for these old stories FROM the cats that where there. Yea, we know it's dramatized but it's based on actual people and it's dope to hear them talk about it. Not all of us are 20-somethings. These guys played before my time (mid 80s) but it's great stuff. I feel like Kareem talks a little smoother here with Norm than what he usually comes across.

Yeah, Mr. Fortune. That was my move too once I found out that the ticket takers let thier friends in for free. I never paid after that. I recall one time Mayor Coleman Young peeped me scheming my way into the game and was laughing his ass off and I straightened up and shook his hand. After he went in I snuck in anyway. Those were the days. Yeah, Eric Money Ray Scott Erroll Lloyd Herb Brown Dancing GUS and most definitely George Trapp "HEAT" ya dig. And top it all off at Lafayette Coney Island till the Tireman bus came at 11 oclock like clockwork baby!!!! You gotta read Kareem's autobiography. He mentions Cobo in it. P.S. I was Erroll Lloyd's paperboy and he'd give us tickets at Christmas time.
