Another INFJ married to an ENTJ. (Well, someone right on the border between ENTJ and ENTP, but ENTJ ekes out a win by a tiny margin.) We've been married for under a year, lived together for five, and dated for seven. Consistent communication, keeping the disagreement healthy (such as not bringing up something that happened forever ago or attacking the other's character), using our inside voices, and trust that the other isn't lying or leaving things out makes disagreements much less stressful to work out. I also indulge the ENTP side a bit, even though I get tired from debating pretty fast 😂 Learning to navigate each other's personalities is an adventure, but it just seems to work well somehow!

@@linhduong0809 I'm an infj, and I said the same thing about being too overwhelmed with the world and social media lately because it's tiring for my intp friend, she just asked me why haha I think that we infj's, in a way, because we are very empathetic, we end up isolating ourselves a lot, whether to avoid other people's emotions as much as possible or to avoid seeing the horrible things that happen every day in our world (whether in reality or on the internet), because this leaves us overwhelmed and very sad to the point that it can ruin our day. Honestly out of everything there the one that resembled my INFJ husband the most is the last one. That is why whenever I get even the slighest hint that something is bothering him I always remind him that he has a safe space to talk about it NOW. RIGHT NOW. @faolan2174 For him, not really. He usually opens up with 'funny story I had this in the back of my head for some reason and I should have said something sooner..'. But he doesn't really lose sleep over it. (Even with the more serious of problems.) Then there is me. Holding back worsened my anxiety to the point that my brain started hiding my own emotions from ME. I lose sleep. I have panic attacks. This is why I always force myself to talk. Maybe I'm projecting a little on to him 🤔🤔. I'm 100% an over thinker though and I literally wrote this comment a good 12 times before posting so 😅

The intuition part is so true... I suddenly had a hunch one day while walking to the cafeteria that my (ex) best friend was only ever walking around with me to make herself look prettier. She always wore makeup and had delicate features where as I only ever wore lipstick and had somewhat stronger more mature features. And although I wasn't "plain Jane" when she stood next to me, she always stood out as really beautiful and people would approach her more frequently to talk to her than (as I observed) when I was far. This was really strange as I never cared about my appearance except for being presentable (as my mother had raised me) so I knew I wasn't insecure. I brushed it off as paranoia as why would my bestfriend ever do that to me...until a month later I saw her true colors and realized it was just my intuition giving me a heads-up. And afterwards someone (I can trust with my life) telling me the same exact thing to warn me against her so I don't make the mistake of forgiving her. It's crazy but I've learned my lesson to never doubt my intuition for even a minute. Also, I was able to figure out a close friend of mine secretly publishing poetry under a pseudonym. She was shocked how I found out that it was her work. I had to reassure her that she didn't make a mistake in keeping her secret and that I just have a crazy intuition. lol

0:45 lol I imagine a friendship between INFJ and ISFP would be risky. INFJ: If my friend dislikes my favorite show, I like that show less. ISFP: If my friend dislikes my favorite show, I like that friend less.

But INFJs tend to be people pleasers. I usually say I liked something that someone else liked even if I hated it

Pretty spot on. I've always felt like I'm on a different wavelength than other people and frequently feel misunderstood. It makes sense, though, considering there's not a huge percentage of other INFJ's out there. I'd love to see a skit about INFJs and friendships with other INFJs 😅

That being said, I have become more authentic and am continuing on that path so I don’t mind telling people what I like, while in the past I wouldn’t share guilty pleasures. Now I don’t really have any guilty pleasures. I do tell people sometimes that I wouldn’t recommend something to them, even though I have enjoyed it.

Why is this so incredibly accurate? I feel called out. God I’ve been dealing with this one friend that is just so clingy for the past year and can never muster the courage to confront her. And I asked everyone for advice on the situation but I end up not taking the advice anyways because I made up my mind that I’m too scared of the consequences.
