That's a big concern I have with games like this - if people can knock Scrabble for being elitist and depending upon having certain skills, then this also falls foul of that. Not everyone is comfortable with improv, and it's definitely a skill that can be learned and developed, and that means some players will just have a bad time in a game like this. It also features another pet hate of mine in game design where players score each other as that is a horribly fragile mechanism if you get a situation where players let stuff influence their decision (like the couple who also try to help each other, or a player refusing to give points to their closest rival) It was a fun video, but there is no way I'm ever getting this game

@@ishoottheyscore8970 as a ttrpg person I absolutely see that second one but also y'know it depends on the group because a lot of people will be less bad about that sort of thing and it isn't an inherent problem that is always going to happen but it absolutely makes sense to be a concern one time I was playing apples to apples and I lost in what my opinion was an easy round where I just got a really lucky card because I jumped the gun in taking my point and the person judging picked someone else because they had felt slighted that I hadn't picked their answer earlier in the game, I think when I knew it was theirs but y'know I don't care

What an alumni class for round 1 we've got a thousand yeah old dragon peddling rum, seducing parents and ignoring people complaints until they die of old age.
