I just found something really cool out. When doing a siege you can place your troops like normal battles. Just hit the 1 2 3 4 5 Keys before you start the battle. So now u can put them just about anywhere on the map. Top down.

ESO im loving this series. Judging by this episode the northern empire will be a fly in the ointment. I would suggest if your able to, to attack the Empire from both sides as to make them reel and get them on the back foot. So a pincer manoeuvre

Next episode you should try to make an alliance with another kingdom to keep from being attacked on different sides at the same time. You dont have many lords and garrisoning a fort or city properly can only get you so far. Having an alliance with one kingdom would safeguard one side of the map so you can concentrate on taking over Vladia, N. Empire, etc.

I highly recommend "Council of the Commons" policy for your dictatorship, it can easily grant you 100+ Influences per day (Based on the number of notables, those are the NPCs in your towns and villages, the more territory you own the more OP the policy is)

PSA for the beta branch if you take the tier 3 trade skill perk you maybe unable to complete hideouts as the perk will mess with the loot screen and cause a crash, this can stop you from doing the main quest as part of it requires you to clear two hideouts.

Just a tip I learned a few days ago, if you hold the Left Alt key it highlights all items on the ground, use this and you'll never run out of arrows in a hideout battle or siege ever again. Especially handy because someone can fire Tier 1, 0 Blunt damage arrows at you, and if you have Tier 6, 4 Pierce Damage arrows, the arrows you pick up will function as your quiver specifies, not the arrow it's self. No more sacrificing damage and taking 'Stacked Bodkin Arrows' when 'Piercing Arrows' are just plain better just because the Stacked Bodkins have more in the quiver.

Is there some kind of hidden advantage to bringing a spear to sieges? Like a bonus in morale or whatever. Because Danny seems to bring a spear every single time and then have to run around half dead looking for an axe to pick up. There must be a reason for it, but I can't figure it out.

Honestly man, i'm 90 hours deep so far and I can tell you it's worth just picking it up now, the devs have been releasing a major bug squashing/crash fixing patch /every/ single day, and if you factor in the hotfixes doing the same it's often 2 patches a day if not 3. Also bare in mind that we're likely seeing gameplay from 4 or 5 days, maybe even a week previous (takes alotta time and effort to record, cut, edit in effects, etc to make a KZbin video, nevermind the time to render that now edited video, and /then/ upload it as well.) so a lot of the bugs you're seeing in these videos are long gone by the time we see the videos.

Maybe they can't get the supplies from the surrounding villages? I'm messing with the empire as well by just standing in front of their cities and doing nothing and seeing their merchants and caravans lose their mind trying to enter the city. They seem to run out of food after a few days

@Freddynka I can confirm for you that I have been sieging and the enemy had food stored. I can't remember if it was a castle or town though.

It's all about timing man, wether or not they've been getting enough surplus from their villages to add to their storage for sieges, wether or not any large armies have passed by recently buying all the food (yes, buying food from the city/it's bound villages actually takes food from the cities and you can do this to starve them), if Caravans are buying all their food, if their villages have been raided recently and therefore aren't producing food for the City/Castle etc. The level of their Granary impacts it as well, currently in an unmodded game I believe the Max Level granary can store /juuuuust/ enough food to prevent the starvation malus from turning on if you build just the camp and a battering ram then attack. Anything more and you'll have had them surrounded (and therefore unable to get food from outside) for so long that they begin to starve. Also, this is dependent on your engineer level, if it's very high (200+, or you have a companion with high Engineer skill and he is set to be your party's engineer) then you could/can probably build a lot more before the Cities storage runs out and the starvation malus ticks on.

i saw you restocking arrows, i been running around the battlefield for arrows but icant find any. are there a skill you need or to build something before the battle? or are they att a specific place?

There are barrels with arrows up in the battlements that sometimes have arrows (if they are not fully expended by the defending troops) and also you can press ALT to highlight things and look for a dropped quiver that they do contain arrows sometimes (again, if not expended)

Pressing ALT to highlight bolts, arrows, javelins, literally any projectile works in any battle. It has to be within a reasonable distance, maybe 4 horse lengths.

Hey man, just a tip: The game has horriffic memory leak issues, so even if you're on a 12 hour session, set a timer on your phone or something to go off every 2 hours, and save and restart the game. This will prevent crashes, and also if you pay attention to it you may notice that the longer your play session lasts the poorer and poorer your performance will become, this is all because the game is just eating up and never clearing out the RAM it uses, so as the hours tick by it performs worse and worse and eventually you'll get a crash, every time.

It's obviously still under heavy development, just like the game it's self, but yeah, I guarantee you their will be GoT mods, LotR Mods, any countless other fantasy canon mods for this game that are shockingly in depth and robust.
