That's an bsolutely beautiful piece of wearable art you made Gail. It is truly a one-of-a-kind pendant. You and your daughter are so very talented and such a joy to watch. I've only recently [in the past few weeks] discovered your lovely videos and became a subscriber on the spot. It was the video where you're with the little mudlark-in-training Cecilia, and her mother searching for dragon eggs and sea glass. I live across the pond in North Carolina, one of the original 13 Colonies, and it's a dream of mine to one day visit England, Scotland and Ireland. It's got such lovely scenery and so much history. I recently had a DNA test and it showed that I'm about 56% British heritage, with a healthy 26% Irish, plus a respectable bit of Swiss and German, plus a smidgen of Italian, Spanish or Portuguese and Ashkenazi Jewish. The Swiss and German aren't surprising to me since my hometown, New Bern, NC is where a lot of Swiss and German Palatines settled in the New World. That's how New Bern got its name; after Bern, Switzerland. Well, enoungh of my ramblings on, take care and keep the mudlarking adventures coming! Enjoy your time and memories with each other.

Good morning Gail and Alex! It's just so amazing to create a beautiful piece of jewelry from remnants of the past. This butterfly necklace is so pretty and feminine...super job! Have you thought about possibly putting a thin coat of resin on top of any pieces to protect the outer surface? I love working with resin, you can encapsulate so many cool things. Some coins would be amazing pendants, key chain accessories or coasters etc in resin. With all your different treasures, the possibilities are endless!! I also make jewelry and I have much respect for your hand making of all the parts. I do admit that I purchase my jump rings and head pins etc already pre-made. ; ) I really enjoy seeing the entire process from the raw material to the making from start to finish. This was another awesome adventure from our "digging Diva's", The Northern Mudlarks!! Have a wonderful week ladies...Big ((Hugs)) and Love from Texas!! xoxo : )
