Funny I was thinking the same thing, before the zipper part I'd be ringing wet with sweat. It gets so hot here in the summer you can fold a plastic kayak up like a tri fold wallet, they get super soft. Still almost 90 today Oct 30

It would be nice if you gave us your opinion on this suit and some info! Price, availability. I know I can find it, but why watch a review, if there is no opinions? I'm actually looking for one and would love to hear a comparison vs Kokotat and others.

Fair enough!😊 It delivers what it says on the website. I don't know the exact price (yet). It is basic, so don't expect extras such as collar, pockets,.... It is light because of that. The fabric is the same high quality, not a single remark on that. I personally miss a mens relief zipper. But Typhoon was clear: price as low as possible. A good suit for the lowest price of all Typhoon suits. Hope this helps you a bit further? One more thing: we field test the prototypes first, give feedback before launch. All flaws (If there are any) are worked away before the suits hit the shelves. Cheers!😊👍

@@Northseakayak ok thanks. No relief zip is deal breaker though, for me. I'll be looking maybe at the 5. A good suit lasts 10-15 years, so price is immaterial to me. IMHO it is THE most important piece of kit after the kayak, the paddle and the PFD. Keep doing videos and don't be afraid of giving advice and opinions. You are very good at what you do.

How is comparison between the hypercurve 4 and the Roan? They are almost similar in price...

Hi! Yes, indeed. Besides the colors, the biggest difference is the zipper. Roan is a hinge, where the Hypercurve has a back-entry zipper.

Triple technical layer when water temperature is between 5 en 15°C. Does the trick. Merino wool socks also...😊

What about the breathability compared to goretex? I get wet in a drysuit very quickly due to sweating.

Same here, and with a lot of paddlers. Most important: dress in layers, and make sure that you have a techical base layer that pushes your sweat to the next. I wear 3 to 4 layers depending on conditions. Cheers!👌😊

@@Northseakayak Until now I get sweaty with just one thin wool layer. Only when air temp is below 15 oC can I use my Palm Atom without getting wet. So how does this suit compare to others, e.g. goretex which is not that bad.

@@dagmarvandusschoten9167 don't think to much about breathability... technical clothing is the mist important thing. Think with us: your legs are staying in a damp cockpit all the time. Your upper body: neoprene tunnel of the spraydeck and PFD on top of that. Leaves only your arms free.... Hope this helps? Cheers!👌😊

This suit ignores the most basic cold water immersion biology, that even a beginner could tell you. When the body is exposed to the cold, the human bladder starts releasing fluids. This has no relief zipper.

Better check all their suits, they all have a relief zipper but this one. They wanted to cut down to costs, and make it affordable for anyone. That said, I love the suit to play in the surf, where one doens't paddle for half a day. So, it has it's reasons....
