I'm just like the plaintiff. Extremely patient. But what I find, in many instances, the more patient you are, the more people walk all over you. Once your patience wears out and you start getting on their (another name for a donkey), then they'll ask "why are you being so aggressive?" This defendant was stringing the plaintiff along in hopes that the business would keep his money & he would Just. Go. Away. I'm glad he didn't go away!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Even though there are legitimate supply chain delays for many companies/manufacturers ( my hospital is STILL waiting for AED's, EKG's, and audiometers ordered in 2021), there is no excuse for not communicating with customers. At least give them options/alternatives or if all else fails, refund their money. There is no reason this should have come to a lawsuit for the plaintiff to get his money back. One good thing about this pandemic is that it has taught many how to do business in a much better way and made people realize they have skills they never imagined.

I can understand the plaintiff's angst, anxiety and dread about his situation on getting his custom shutters. Having been in his very situation before I can empathize with him especially. But this defendant has no such defense in this case and should refund the money. I more than admire how patient the plantiff was throughout this ordeal.
