Even though it is a legal/binding judgment I think a lot of people don't see it as real court and they just see it as TV so they don't take it seriously. Especially when you as a defendant know that the show is going to pay whatever you owe to the plaintiff and you're gonna get money on top of that just for appearing.

A good thing to me is that the judge specializes in home renovations. Her family is construction workers, her father, and other family members, so she grew up knowing the ends and out, and that would entitle hard to be certified in that area. Her judgment was right on to me a specially when she used what the paid lawyer had scrutinized as far as out of pocket money and what was doing it was all fair. The problem is as the lady was "left holding the bag." He might not have bailed had she not given all that money upfront. You have to string them along because they're going to line you ahead.

Plaintiff is very lucky and fortunate she didn’t lose much more. In comparison to other contractors, who would have really taken advantage of her, this contractor did a good job. She will realize that after hiring other contractors, and see how they work, then she will really regret losing the defendant. For most contractors, once you pay them, the money is gone. Even if you go to court and get a judgement, how are you going to collect? If you do find a good worker, be sure to be extra nice to him. They are very sensitive, and will quit in a heartbeat .
