I believe lack of rest and recovery is the main reason for not showing any improvement in any sport. Even Usain Bolt said in an interview that he would take two weeks rest after a tough training week
@TheSprintProject_2 жыл бұрын
I agree, especially since getting 8 hours of awesome sleep on a consistent basis is uncommon for most people. Cool which interview was that?

Hey Cesar ! Shout out to you ! I’ve paid for 2 separate sprint training courses- to help coach my son : Altis and x-pollination. I have also read a few books on the subject matter. I have to say, the insights that you provide are up there , for someone who wants to improve and be a better sprinter. I like the fact that you’re on a journey, and you’re critiquing your self. You have filled some of the nuances for me. Like the former commentator, you don’t use opinion, your methods are factually based ! I’m seeing a potential book, here….. Keep it up. 👍

The fall asleep in 2 minutes technique helped me get rid of depression, chronic muscle pain and chronic fatigue, It's called autogenic training if you want someone to guide you through it. It honestly saved my life
@kevintoala15362 жыл бұрын
what is that technique to fall asleep in 2 minutes??
@TheDragonNixon2 жыл бұрын
@@kevintoala1536 it's called autogenic training. Type it in youtube. If you're stressed out through the day your muscles get flexed and they stay in that state so this helps you relax them with your brain (like you flex them). Like if you have chronic muscle pain it actually helps you get rid of it if you're consistent with it. It also helps you focus better and it really makes you sleepy when you try to sleep

On a soccer field, it is 11m from goal to penalty line. Or you can step out 10 meters until you can constantly get the same measurement, for me it is 12 steps / 10m and it is fairly accurate, within 10cm.
@TheSprintProject_2 жыл бұрын
On a standard soccer field yes. For some using your steps works, I tried it but couldn't get it consistently on 10m.

What do you think of pushing a car in neutral to mimic the sled push? I used to do it for my hockey training when I was a young buck.
@TheSprintProject_2 жыл бұрын
I think it’s cool too I didn’t mention it though because I don’t want to be responsible for any accidents lol
@jodl732 жыл бұрын
That would be good for developing strength and power, but not so much speed. The car is so heavy that you would be moving a lot more slowly. You would be training your body to produce a lot of power, but without regard to time. Think of the strongman competitors who pull trucks or planes. They’re strong, but not fast if that makes sense. It’s like comparing a tractor trailer to a sports car.

If you do the right lifting exercises and not more than 5 reps it’s fine, you can do Bike Workouts with high resistance, that’s a good alternative to sprint workouts

For the sled pushing, can it be done doing a lower forward with the low bar sleds or is it better with a higher lean with the high bar sleds?
@TheSprintProject_2 жыл бұрын
It depends on what you're working on. You can use both to work on different parts of the acceleration. Also you alternate between heavy and light loads.
@stevesmith15122 жыл бұрын
Also make sure you don't break at the hips. You want be pushing the ground behind you. With a low foot recovery. Watch the slow motion of Powell, Colman, Gatlin etc. In the early steps the foot is landing behind the centre of mass. Video and watch it back. You can practice the movement leaning into a wall. You can also push a car.
