Your problem isn't the bike, it's the dealership. Take the bike to another dealer that has certified mechanics.

Man I'm a HD tech and there is zero excuse for this kind of work being done on your bike. The best dealership to take it to in Oklahoma to get any work done would be Harley Davidson World. All of the dudes in there but one are in their 50s and 60s. Lots of experience in that shop.

I think you should by a shop manual. That is specifically for your bike. Then a good set of tools. Sit down and read the shop manual. Get very familiar with the workings of your bike. If you have the garage space. Get a full lift.

Yeah I feel your pain I’m having the same issue with a brand new 22 road glide I bought and it is sad being black and buying a bike the service people are not friendly at all and nothing is ever done right as soon as they see you they give you shitty vibes looks as well the price is outrageous too on maintenance labor or labor on anything whew I have friends that’s other races and they will be so happy to help them right in your face totally different experience it’s been the worst purchase I’ve made having to deal with the dealership I have my buddy go in an shits discounted majorly but by myself it’s the shits

Orale it's not the bike Big Dawg stuff like that happens even if you had an Indian, Honda or BMW, it's dealership workmanship, I avoid dealerships like the pleuge but go when absolutely necessary when touring or need a special part instead of an Amazon part, speak to the supervisor tell them what happened or you gonna let Headquarters know, they'll fix rt, but like any other dealership don't expect anything like a discount on anything because these cats don't give anything away for free they tight and stingy like my EX. Bad Ass bike tho Big Dawg..

What a beautiful bike, hopefully the bugs get worked out, and you have many years of enjoyment. 23 years ago I wanted a Harley more than anything, but couldn't afford so I settled for a Honda. That Honda still starts right up, just basic maint. performed by me only, that bike (vtx1800c) has never sat. in a dealer waiting for anything. I still really, really, want a Harley (looking at yours ) they are by far the best looking bikes, and the little extras on them now are really cool. But a friend at work told me the only way to keep warranty was for dealer to do all service (even oil changes) and that's not something I could do, it's just too easy to change oil and it only takes a few min. It's crazy that I'm such a fan of Harleys but the things I hear about prices and dealers just keeps me away. I work with machines of a different sort but I know when they are brand new it's not unusual to have some bugs to work out, and yes bad technicians can cause more problems, but once it's running well it should stay that way for awhile if you take care of it. Awesome thanks and that's really why I haven't just fixed it myself especially this minor. Trying to keep the warranty. I will look over bike myself after it's repaired before I sign to have it released

I thought rout 66 was bad i seen fort thunder on the news while back in the end come get your bike it was frame and wheels but wat i under stand one tek gets your bike every time you go in 66 thay dented my air breather scratch tank air breather then scrached it again so i started taking it to forman stillwater worth it nice people and thay new bike don't charge for set up fee thay took me right in i just wish i bought my bike there

No man. Your dealership just sucks. I have a dealership near me that is the same. My question is this. Are you close to a military installation that the dealership gets a lot of business from? I ask because the dealership near me is and they are absolutely horrible. Mainly because they know they have new customers every three years. I brought my bike over to this dealership to have HD LED tail lights put on because I could not get them to stay in. Their "Master tech" decided that it would be a good idea to use a dead blow hammer to get them in. A month later one stopped working. So I brought the bike back and told them I want my money back. They tried to say they do not do refunds on electric parts. I told them I would be blasting them on ever single social media website I could find and also reporting them to HD corporate. They refunded me my money after that.

Go buy an Indian. Constant trips to the dealer will become a thing of the past. Admittedly, I too have been to the Indian dealership for parts..Ive had to go 6 times now...for 6 oil change kits.... in 3 years. The only problem I have is the bike is so ready go, that I end up wearing out my oil too fast.🤣🤣

Obviously, the technician that's working on your bike doesn't know what he's doing, or doesn't care. Request someone else work on your bike. If you know the name of the technician, make a request to the service manger that you don't want him working on your bike.
