Got my first watch as a 3rd grader, a Timex. Mom made sure I got home by 6 for dinner. A few years later I lost it in the woods somewhere. Then a Citizen. In 73, my 16th birthday, they got a watch that I had until my home was robbed, 2015 while in the hospital. A Seiko automatic GS gold clad. For a few years I thought GS meant Grand Sport. It definitely had some wear as a daily watch.

I have a budget (in us $) and have 3 of 5, I still need a dress watch (with some complications?) and a field watch. 1. anOrdain Model 1 for the enamel dial, either the Plum Fume' or the Japanese Oxblood (4k vs 3k new) 2. Christopher Ward titanium dive watch C60Trident Lumiere with orange bezel and strap case is only 10.85mm thick (about 2k) 3. Breguet type XX used (about 4 to 5k) 4. The Bel Canto Classic by christopher ward is getting a real serious look and it is $4500 us. if i do that i may swap the dive watch selection to an orange dial Doxa 200 which is 1k less than the titanium ward.

Great vid Chris. You own one of my grail watches, unless you sold it. The JLC Master Compressor Diving Chronograph GMT Navy SEALs, on that awesome bracelet. I have an 8 inch wrist so it would fit me just fine. JLC Memovox Tribut to Deep Sea is also on the list as. Well as a GO SeaQ Panorama Date. Rolex Sea Dweller Deep Sea James Cameron is another. I would love to have a JLC Master Control minute repeater as well. JLC is my favorite watchmaker. Not big on vintage but one would be the Zenith Sub Sea A3630 diver.

If I were to limit my collection to around 12 watches, my top choices would include a no-date Submariner, a Tornek Rayville, a Grand Seiko GMT, an FP Journe quartz, and a Longines GMT or Omega (Darkside of the Moon). I admire how he leans into his taste - I also try to do it.

I was a bit surprised that Mark Zuckerberg chose some left-field, but still interesting and tasteful watches. Also,I really like your selecion of grail watches (apart from the dream watch...). I don't think I would buy very expensive watches even if I had a ton of money. I would not feel good (or safe) wearing such a watch in public. I think I would buy one Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda PF Microrotor with a steel case and grey dial, I really like the looks of that one. Another watch I find beautiful is the Vacheron Constantin 222 you showed, but it is a bit too flashy for my taste.
