When you think about it, it's like springbonnie got his revenge. William used him to appeal to kids, hide his identity and true personality, and then relied on him for protection from the ghosts. In a way, springbonnie turned on him when he was needed the most and from then on became a physical representation of William's mind: rotten, twisted, disturbing. When William hunts you in fnaf 3, he can't pretend to be a cute friendly character anymore, or even an innocent man. He has to evade your defenses if he wants to get you. And becoming springtrap has robbed William of almost all his humanity. Also, an interesting detail I noticed is that when springtrap attacks from the left, his eyes widen and look you over very briefly. I wonder if it's expression of excitement and thrill, or if it's applied to modern lore, surprise when he recognises Michael or Henry.

I've always thought that Springbonnie was actually just called Bonnie, with the first name being used by the employees to talk about the suit with spring locks. Fredbear was replaced with Freddy due to the accident. But Springbonnie was never related directly to the accident, so they just changed the color of the suit without much rebranding. God, if Springbonnie ever gained consciousness as it's own animatronic, and fused with William the same way in canon, he really would be the first victim. Being used as a serial killer suit but unable to stop it because of your rudimentary programming, used to kill the kids you were meant to entertain and be friends with. Horrible. Honestly, same with Fredbear and the bite, gaining his own consciousness as soon as the bite happens, separate from the child but completely unable to fathom what had happened. Regardless of if Fredbear had the crying child's exact consciousness or had his own like Baby did with Elizabeth. If Henry made William that jealous from making animatronics that had heart and love in them, with potentially all a little soul and emotion, then the potential of SpringBonnie and Fredbear having memories or consciousness is legitimate possibility. Especially with the Mimic being potentially from even before Fredbears, even if rudimentary it's still a soul of sorts. Robots have the same memories as people, and agony can make the shadows potentially, so like there's several hints to souls and life being in humans, animals, plants, literal blobs of shapeshifting emotion, and robots in this franchise. I love how both off the wall and existential the series is, even in the implications that are basically glossed over every game with just enough answers to keep us hooked. They got a system going, like the Pokemon Company's three year cycle and steadily changing creature design conventions.

Imagine being a kid that loved going to Fredbear's and whose favourite character was Spring Bonnie. It'd be so depressing to learn about the murders and how the character's reputation of Fredbear's trusty friend became tarnished. William does elaborate on the whole 'risking it with the springlocks' thing in TSE, to be fair. When he's monologuing to Carlton about how he survived the unsurvivable (and given he's described as having lost most of his weight since and seeming kind of dead when not interacting with someone, maybe he did die in that suit and just kept his body running through possession or something), he explains that a suit left to the elements for years will indeed trip on a hair-trigger, much like that mentioned in FNaF 3, but one kept maintained - such as William's own golden Bonnie suit, there - is fairly safe. And, indeed, he takes hits and moves a lot but the locks remain firmly locked, which makes more sense than the ramblings in 3 for an item that is going to be worn by a dancing performer around hyperactive children in a place serving food and drink. The suits described in 3 are likely quite run-down, given new people are having to be trained for this regardless, hence their significantly heightened danger. Charlie has to reach in and manually open one of the locks, which seems to trip the whole thing by a sort of rube-goldberg-esque system in the joints or something, which makes a bit of sense given the joints do need to lock together properly. The main stupidity is making these locks spring-loaded to begin with. The crank working both ways would've sufficed.

You know I see people joking about how Springbonnie is just his fursona but there is some truth to the statement. I know some furries that act completely differently when they wear their fursuit just out of the confidence boost they get. While I'm not one for fursuiting myself, I do get the same feeling when I start writing. Of course with that said the whole concept of not knowing who is under that costume is pretty disturbing... if only that wasn't true in the real world.... Anyway a personal theory I have is that Afton used springbonnie as a form of escapism which eventually got to his head with the success he got from the restaurant. He genuinely believed that people loved him and because of this his ego shot through the roof. Of course when he starting offing kids and got away with it, it just confirmed everything he thought about himself, he was unstoppable. Of course that left him with one desire, to become springbonnie and we all know how that turned out. I view it like a wish from a monkey's paw. Of course that is just me mostly head canoning, but I personally believe it is a far better story then the whole, vengeful father thing people try to stick William as. I genuinely believe that Afton would be a great character if they leaned more into the idea that he is obsessed with the character he's made and wants others to feel the same way he does. To never struggle or face hardship. Maybe even be the family he always wanted, not the broken and divided one he has already. But what do I know. I'm just a furry.

I might write a whole paragraph here but, how he's described in the books.. Wowie. He's very very violent, and only sees his victims as playtoys to mess with their brains and gut their mind from the inside out. Also his voice lines are extremely strange, and felt like I was watching a ring tape. He locks you inside a room, and the way TapeGirl (Vivian in my head cannon), described Jeremy being almost numb and a walking "zombie" if you will, he tortures your mind endlessly with horrendous nightmares and forces you to do things you don't want to do. I think Afton being Spring Bonnie was the freest he ever felt as a person so getting killed so you could say him getting trapped in the same suit that made him express himself so much is him getting ‘reborn’ as Springtrap

Ngl, since you’re so close to 100k, I wonder what the special for that milestone is gonna be, NotRealName. Excited for that moment, regardless. Edit: Personally, this milestone or 1 Mill would be when a face reveal would happen (if the KZbinr hasn't decided on a specific number on which to do a face reveal, of course), but really, it's up to you for what is done to celebrate the occasion.

william went through many phases, like trying to become a father but ending up as a narcissist and trying to make money but ending up killing children or even becoming a furry.
@GJames-Legend1016 ай бұрын
A part of me kinda wishes he was named springhare because it kinda rhymes with fredbear 😅. Also something I always wondered is did spring Bonnie have a distinct personality or characteristic, also I wondered if whenever springbonnie was being worn by William when he killed his victims did the agony from his victims brought him to life and if so I wonder how he would’ve felt being used as a tool to help William in his murders, I imagine that springbonnie loved entertaining and being around children so he probably hate what William did to him. Also I had this idea of what if the springbonnie programming could temporarily take over and causes springtrap to act like how the animatronic was made to be.

Thank you for the Luigi's Mansion shoutout. Like it literally looks exactly like a Portrait ghost. Reminds me of the horrific Luigi Game Over in the beta version of the first game if only by association with the full game and the portrait connection.

Run little fawn Before all hope disappears Run little fawn The golden hare is here -Battington, the Case of Edward Morris I really like the Spring Bonnie redesign and rename from Battington. Especially with how it looks like what if Glitchtrap looked more like an animatronic and not just a suit.

I’m pretty sure Afton’s Pizzeria Simulator suit was a replacement for Spring Bonnie instead of a reboot design. Remember, Spring Bonnie still had the programming to follow sounds without William’s control. He’d probably want to remove that weakness. The FNAF6 suit is also less bulky and can fit into smaller spaces. I’m not certain, but I like the theory since it would also explain how Springtrap could be walking around on the Special Delivery app while Afton is buried under the Pizzaplex.

He seems to really want to erase this victim’s (presumably Jeremy’s) humanity. His body is used as a costume, his name and gender is reduced to “rabbit”, his character is nothing more that a sidekick, and his story is unknown.

I always figured the name “Spring Bonnie” was a name given to him afterwards, but that “Spring” was in reference to spring the SEASON as opposed to the spring locks (because rabbits and all). Sort of a “limited edition toy” style name. It doesn’t make the most sense, but it did feel more sensible than him being marketed with the spring locks in his name to me

I do like thinking Spring Bonnie wasn't strictly male, but that's a personal bias and more of a headcannon. Bonnie is a name meaning "pretty" so that also fits a more effeminate persona.
