I think at this point BTS will be remembered like how Michael Jackson is. Regardless if, somehow, another K-pop group gains more popularity one day, BTS will be remembered as the BEST group that came out of that country. For example, there have been multiple soloists that media/fans have attempted to call "King of Pop" but regardless of how famous they are the public will never accept anyone other than Michael. No matter how much K-pop stans and the industry tries to put down BTS, millions of people love them and see them as the best. They will always be seen as the Best in K-pop.

The narrator speak FACTS. She appreciate all the Kpop groups before BTS for introducing KPOP but those all Kpop groups never paved for other artists like BTS did. Because the Big 3 (SM, YG, JYP) companies never let others artists to shine and love to sabotage other artists especially artists from small companies. They are also the reason why BTS take longer time to get popular. BTS has made the path become more easier for others to enter. And now the Big 3 is busy trying to create the 'next BTS' and throwing away their artist natural talent instead of let their artist to create music in their own way or style. Also, the labels focused too much on the looks/visual instead of their music talent. Their looks is too perfect and look like a robot/doll, not human. All Kpop artists is unique and I don't want them to be 'next someone'. Diversity of music and style in Kpop industry is what made me fall in love in Kpop.

People, agencies, and media I feel are still baffled on how BTS did what they did and still continue on. When BTS started having bigger global reach (2017+), they were constantly 'named' as the next Beatles which the members themselves have said they never wanted that and just wants to be the next BTS. I do think certain narratives are given by Agencies and the media. And what I'm noticing in recent years are that people really don't understand organic growth. I'm not even talking being self-made, or even having 'extra advantages' whatever that may be to reach BTS's awards. I'm saying that they want to push these artists so quickly so early on in their career when BTS themselves took years to earn them all and even more to continue to grow. And more eyes will pay attention to their comebacks because the moment it seems like it's lower or 'not satisfying/as hype' it's an immediate flop? or like a failure for the group. Which is insane considering artists grow, experiment, and have it's ups and downs. They want instant numbers, results, success, fans, etc. Which I think is so stressful for artists and could be harmful but also for fan culture. It might be hard to not compare but agencies, media, and fans don't let these new artists catch a breath

I’m an ARMY, a casual listener of other groups, (veeeery casual lmao) and a BIG music lover. The biggest problem with these attempts to be the next BTS IS the music. Here we aren’t just talking about idols not being involved in their craft, but the sound in general. There’s nothing really good. No depth in the lyrics. It’s just full of difficult choreos and pretty visuals. It’s not an insult as it’s the companies who are at fault. A lot don’t give freedom to their artists to make music, which is why I fell in love with BTS instantly; they have musical identity. There are a lot of KPOP groups that have very good vocalists, but they never let them sing live. They don’t use their skills to promote their group and create the group’s identity. It’s so sad, I feel bad for the idols. The only group I can think of that can become big (not the next BTS, leave my boys alone thanks), it’s NewJeans. Their sound is unique compared to other groups, they already have an identity.

The Beatles were huge when the internet didn’t exist, that’s how big they were. In regards to BTS, I think most media wants to be the ones to “discover” the “next BTS”, and ofc the companies don’t mind the media play (or they do the media play themselves). One thing is that the company sees an opportunity and takes it, like for example, Stray Kids, another thing entirely is Super M that was entirely created to “beat BTS”. And ofc nothing against the artists, this is just what the company does and how they do it.

Boracity is always spitting facts. THERE WILL BE NO BTS & EVEN YOONGI SAID IT IN A PRESS CONFERENCE. The media keeps pushing “the next bts” and so do other companies, I’ve even seen kpop stans try to push the “underdog/ bts’s struggle story” onto their favs which is very weird because why would you want your favs to go through what bts went through in their early days??? I would never wish what bts went through onto other groups because bts went through so much horrible things, it’s upsetting seeing people wish that onto other groups in hopes that their favs become “the next bts/the next biggest act to come out of Korea”. The next bts is never gonna exist just like there’s no next Michael Jackson, no next Beyoncé, no next Coldplay, no next xyz. If you try to make a group/artist just like another artist, you will fail and the artist will loose themselves cuz their company is trying to make them like someone or a group they aren’t! Also bts’s success is organic, there’s no formula to making the next bts, be yourself instead of trying to be someone you aren’t. Make a name for yourself instead of being known as someone’s shadow by thousands of people. Look at bts for example, the media kept comparing them to the beetles/making articles with the beetles name by bts’s name yet bts went on to make a name for themselves, bts were themselves around interviewers/the fans and this made them stand out/people recognize them as bts instead of a group similar to the beetles. Bts got to the top with their blood,sweat and tears, they faced so many obstacles/attacks, they didn’t have a company that pushed them to be the “next xyz”.

There will never be "The next BTS". In fact, there won't be "The next x" of any artists. Artists that make it big makes it big because they have something special that attracts a big diverse audience. Not because they resemble another big artist who has already made their name and their own achievements. Companies are hurting their artists by pushing narratives that have already happened. Only organic growth, or creating a new narrative that has not happened before or has been missing for a while will work. Artists can't be the next legend, they need to become their own legend. Like the Beatles, MJ, Elvis, BTS, etc. There will always be new artists taking over the world, but in their own time. You can't force it.

So same with any other group. Don’t try to be like other people just be yourselves and just try and strive to be the best versions of yourselves. And be genuine and authentic. BTS has done an amazing job over the years of showing us how big their hearts are and how much they care about Army and just other people in general. They care so much they wear their hearts on their sleeves and have shown us so much love and trust and were willing to be so vulnerable in front of us. I am def not saying it's a bad thing/idea but they (these companies) have to understand that what makes BTS success isn't JUST talent. The group's chemistry, their principle (what do they stand for), their purpose (i hope not just fame & money pls), and most importantly their fandom. Being Army is almost a culture. I so agree when she said "BTS did not invented these things but the industry always came after what BTS already has"..... No KPOP artist will ever be good as BTS because the moment they tried to become the Next BTS they already loss what BTS had and that is sincerity , realisticness and passion. And the problem is that the industry forget that BTS didn't achieve all this success within a months or year, they tried to made their groups or artist with huge debut by making them sing someone else written songs and focus on the visual and choreography rather than the quality of the artist.

In addition to them putting out amazing music, it is their relationship with EACH OTHER and their actual personalities that make them so great! In that first part of this video when she talked about that music agency put together a group of kpop artists trying to clone what BTS had it was a waste of time. They didn't have a relationship with each other etc... BTS is karma. There is no formula, it's like that once in a lifetime natural event that know one understands how it happens, but it does.

THERE IS NO NEXT BTS. K-pop companies needs to come to terms with that, not just rival companies of bighit but big hit and hybe themselves! They are also trying to find the next bts with newjeans (i mean come on bang pd get your mind together) Even after they disband they will have a everlasting effect on the music industry just like Michael Jackson, the Beatles and one direction did, I mean they’re disbanded and they still have thousands of loyal fans and that’s how I see bts when they eventually disband.

For me Beatles aren't better than Bts, they could be more known by the older people like my mother and father, but nowdays we don't know anything about them as people, i don't know who people were in the band, i don't know their names, i don't know if they are good people, i only know 1 song and that's it ....if Bts were from America there wouldn't be a so much racism and hate or if they were in the biggest 3 labels in Korea, but they did their own success, they create their music, learned how to dance, sing , they produce, write songs, and all that is not for the money, even after 11 years they are still together and real brothers , everything they did and are going to do is because 1 the army 2 the members 3 the love for music Always gonna support them❤💜💜💜

k pop for the most part is a niche thing. I personally don't like k pop groups in general. especially the girl groups. they sound the same, dance the same ( if they even dance well) and their music doesn't have much substance im more into a musician, people who make their music and evolve over time.
@izzyturner7175
@izzyturner7175 Жыл бұрын
Just because its kpop, doesn't mean they don't have musicians. Yes, there are over-produced music with repetitive music which are very common in girl groups especially, but please don't rule that as all of kpop. The industry does have self produced groups who write their music and their development is evident within their discography, such as BTS, Seventeen and Stray Kids to name a few self produced artists off the top of my head. I'm not disagreeing, it is still definitely niche and it has a negative light shining over it, but after some researching you will find the needles in the haystack who do have talent.
@geekyreader34
@geekyreader34 Жыл бұрын
@@izzyturner7175 seventeen is definitely a good group. Not too familiar with stray kids. But there are def more like sounding and looking k pop groups then there are groups with originality. Now many korean independent artists are fantastic. There’s a lot of talent out there. I feel they should look for those with visible talent that they can then just nourish and help grow during the training system. Many times companies just want to mold them into the same style of music and looks and personality that it gets old

@@geekyreader34 I definitely agree, I feel like groups are debuting all the time that are just the exact same and its so hard to find that diamonds in the rough now. They are out there, just so hidden underneath the same old sounds.

@@izzyturner7175 but that's the whole point of what the traditional kpop industry is...a training SYSTEM. It is the assembly line of "this is what it takes to be successful" for looks, style, dance, music, vocal style/training, stage & media presence, etc. The industry studied what works and then work to reproduce that. THAT is what they are now trying to do with BTS, is figure out what makes them successful and reproduce THAT. The groups that bleat out about being "self-produced", "went through hardships", or have one or two members writing/creating their songs are doing that BECAUSE of BTS and their agencies trying to recreate what they think was the magic element trip BTS' success. (No hate to those groups because they ARE talented) The industry really believes the secret sauce is the training SYSTEM.
@izzyturner7175
@izzyturner7175 Жыл бұрын
@@WonderingWildWanderingRose there is that to an extent and I agree that groups debuting now definitely try and hit that formula, but I’m also talking about groups that were before BTS or around the same time because even BTS followed that formula to an extent, just look at how they were casted in the first place. Now, to hit the self produced criteria in my books, you need to be producing and writing nearly all of your music, not just 1 or 2 (which is why I mentioned those two groups). But it’s also very obvious to see that genuine artistry and having a certain artistic flare in your music puts you up the top. You hear a BTS song and it sounds like BTS, you hear a Seventeen song and it sounds like Seventeen…. I can’t say that for some of the other groups

She's right it's ok to follow trends but if that's all you do you won't stand out, unless you do trends far better that the original group or artist that set a trend. Complete copy cats never succeed. Those that adapt and improve do tend to get a bit further ahead however those who are more original and are extremely talented are the one's who become global Alisters.
