Novation Impulse - MIDI-keyboard - NO POWER

All the faders and encoders are noisy on my Impulse 61, when I attempt a Midi Learn on any synth control on iPad, all the keyboard controllers are sending out spurious signals without me touching them! I don’t know if I should attempt a full strip down and get my trusty electronic contact cleaner out, if the pots are sealed then I’m stuffed!

Hi, i don't have experience with keyboard's if you don't have anything to loose you can try it. If all faders and encoders are noisy there must be noise on the datalines. Check the health of all capacitors and check values of pull up / down resistors. Gr. Jim

@@fixmyappjimI used to repair Hi-Fi equipment years ago before they became too complicated and miniature, contact cleaner on the sliders and pots fixed 99% of all repairs. I will check the capacitors for leakage and swelling. I forgot to mention that I only bought the keyboard brand new 12 months ago, so it’s not really had that much use, and of course……it’s out of warranty! Thanks anyway 🙂

Can I send you my motherboard only with new USB ports i Oder online … I just need them to be installed

Hi John, it is cheaper to go to a local repair shop. Usb port change should not be hard to do. Gr. Jim
