I will be doing an update video soon on the usage of Cream switches in the future, where I'll address all the criticisms of the smoothness of this switch. Also, considering this was pretty much a beginner's perspective, it really shows the lack of transparency from retailers about a switch. Break-in time is definitely a huge thing I learned. Shoutout to more constructive criticisms and learning from community members instead of berating people for "not knowing". You don't just go straight into googling specific details as a newcomer. Toxic elitists aren't welcome here.

Gat yellows and creams are both pretty scratchy unlubed. Lubed gat yellows removes almost all scratchiness, so it really has extreme value. Creams are bad, because they have a break in period. Then you have to lube them and even then they are very scratcy. Dont buy creams

The creams aren’t actually “self-lubricating.” They say they are but they actually aren’t. Kinda. NK Creams do release a chemical once pressed, but it doesn’t actually live them. Which most manufacturers mistake for self lubing. (I love the NK Creams [with krytox lube].)

Nk creams are a smooth gimic, the only reason they're considered "self lubricating" is because of the break in time that POM needs, they're scratchy when stock. The only reason they're so popular is because of the distinctive poppy sound when bottoming out the switch.

I dont get why most people hate on NK creams. I mean they were made in POM material and the scratch and sound makes it unique from other linear switches. You have those scratch noises for a reason because it helps the POM do its job by rubbing against each other, and imo they did it on purpose. After you break them in the scratches almost disappear especially when you lube them and after that they would feel buttery smooth.

They are indeed scratchy in the beginning.

Funny that Gateron Yellow is smoother and less scratchy, being cheaper. Sure it's more wobbly but that wobbliness wouldn't even make audible differences, right?

so obviously all switches (more noticeably linear) have a "break in" period. are these tests and conclusions taken from after or before that time of about 2 months of use?

Lubed Gateron linears are so smooth lubed they don't even need break in time. BUT, the creams apparently have a huge break-in time. This was around 2 weeks of usage when making the video. Will be making a follow-up video soon though as requested by others.

Yellows are more clear ngl not the best sounding but pretty decent for the fastest switches

If you need fast actuation, Razer Red. For anything else, Gateron Yellow.
