Hi Nick. Re smart cruise control when the car in front stops for more than 30seconds or you wish to pull away automatically after a red light period. Instead of touching throttle Pull away using a single or double click up on the right cruise control button and the car will pull away automatically without touching the throttle using the smart cruise control.

Thank you! 🙏 glad you enjoy them! Got some more stuff planned soon! Some models do, depends on the model that you have. If it has MBUX NTG 6 then most of the time each profile has 3 memory settings. So select your profile then you have your own memory settings for each one. MBUX NTG 7, when you load your profile up, it changes the seat automatically. MBUX NTG 6 has wavey lines for the voice assistant and MBUX NTG 7 has sparkles for the voice assistant (how you can easily tell the difference).

Just here to point out that on tip #8 when you’re talking about range the blue circle indicates how far you can go using both electric and fuel. I’ve had an 2018 A-class and while it was Diesel, it showed the exact same range in your GPS system. Note that the hybrid systems in Mercedes have a range of about 80-100km max using electric only.

Love the hold feature. It's certainly not on 'all Mercedes Benz'. It came in 2011 with the W204. Interesting fact: MB incorporated this feature from their Citaro bus range.

Thanks for the video...most of them are cool. I have an automatic sunroof in the Mercedes which closes to ventilation position should it start raining. Why it is not closing completely in the event of rain? Staying in ventilating position will allow water to get inside the vehicle, affecting the upholstery. Any reason for this?

I actually use the round nav screen. I find it convenient to have it in front of me always, even at times when the central screen is being used for something else (passenger navigating media/ac controls/whatever). I have no use for the RPM anyway. I drive electric though.

Nick sorry ignore this you have answered my question. I need to plug in and select USB not Bluetooth to access Samsung Music. Not an issue now as i have purchased an "AA Wireless" Adaptor. I now stream Samsung Music Wirelessly and i can wireless charge my phone via the Mercedes charge pad. This Adaptor is brilliant, with an adaptor and app that works perfectly with MBUX (like they were made for each other). The home button on the steering wheel takes me to MBUX or Wireless Android Auto. @@npoleary Apologies, my original response to this question seems to have disappeared. So i will post it again. I tried a couple of different adaptors but found the AA Wireless adaptor worked best with MBUX. I will give you the link below. Essentially it is an Adaptor and an Android App working together. What makes this one so much better? 1. No need to load an APK file onto the head unit. Impossible if there is no hard drive fitted. 2. The App gets updated with new vehicle models and bug fixes so its firmware is always up to date 3. Best of all the home button on my GLC 300 steering wheel controls the switching between Android and MBUX with one tap. 4. When in android auto you can use the radio and nav button on the dash control to select google maps/waze and samsumsung music/spotify etc. 5. It is pretty much seamless as if this adaptor was made for MBUX. I waited 3 months for my adaptors due to COVID. I can now use my charge pad to charge my phone without cables. I bought 2 adaptors as I fitted the other to my wifes I30 N Line I30. Their system is not as sophisticated as MBUX but works satisfactorily Nick I am not part of AA Wireless for the record but any Mercedes owner that want wireless Android NEEDS to get this. Finally if you have issues connecting, i did as i was told to delete my bluetooth connction to the car and start again to connect it up initially, their help desk is quick and helpful. I just discovered a hidden feature of my MBUX 2021 GLE. When I park and the sensor comes on the screen doesn’t always show the camera I want. If I press the P Canera icon it shows me a render of the car and a list of camera view icons but it doesn’t show me any live cameras unless I choose a view. However ah ha! If you Hold the Car Icon (which on press normally brings up the quick access and other assistance options) it brings up the full camera screen. Super helpful to quickly get to the Cameras. Other feature I discovered but can’t seam to replicate the steps is you can make all the windows and sunroof come down using the unlock handle touch similar to making them all close when holding the lock touch. Any ideas what the steps are?

Hey Motabbir, it should auto lock above 10-15 mph but if it doesn’t you can toggle this manually next to the driver’s door handle. You should have a couple of buttons there 🤓

Sadly that is the way how you do it in the car so not seen any other way. Unless anyone who works for them knows any secret menus 😅 I’ve asked when I’ve gone in to film videos but they won’t tell me 😂 There is another way though just thinking about it, on the Mercedes Benz app and under the car symbol and then services, you can view battery health there. It’ll fluctuate between Charged, to Partially Charged, to Critical. Critical is about 20% remaining. The only other way is to physically check with the terminals on the battery. Hope that helps!

I’ll add it to the list of potential future videos🤓 It’s really easy, just make sure it’s selected in the settings on your car’s screen and then if a driver is sat quite far forward, then depending on the model, it will either lean the back rest forward or move the seat back so you can get out easier. Sadly it doesn’t work for me as I’m quite tall as the seat is quite far back anyway 😅

I guess one thing they could try is if they remove the car from the account and link it back up just to see if that makes anything work? Other than that, I would imagine your local Mercedes would have to have a look with the car or your account just to double check it’s set up in the right way. Just thinking about it too, double check the permissions from the Office 365 / Gmail side as privacy settings that end may be blocking it.

Hey Kim, yes that’s right it’s to do with parking assistance. However if you’re not sure if your car has it, double check with your local Mercedes dealership and they can let you know. Some cars made after 2020 sadly don’t have parking assist anymore so check to be sure. The Blue P comes on when it’s scanning for spaces which it will always do below 20mph. Sadly on Mercedes you can’t it states that in the manual. Basically the air quality deteriorates quickly when in air recirculating mode so it just let’s some fresh air back in

Really sorry I’ve not driven a Vito or even sat in one. Probably recommend just contacting one of the Mercedes commercial dealerships and they’ll be able to assist with what the car has 👍🏼

The hold feature is a life saver as my A class (2022) seems to roll back slightly when i accelerate after stopping eg at traffic lights using the hold feature seems to prevent that

I wish you could change the indicator volume on my car but sadly I’ve asked my local Mercedes and you can’t. It’s a fixed volume level. I’ve searched in settings and there isn’t anything.

No sadly it’s just cars with MBUX multimedia systems. That’s kind of when it launched a couple of years later on E-Class if I remember

I wish it was full screen too but there are other manufacturers who have come across the same issue before. The reason is because MBUX is available in two screen sizes, 7” & 10.25”. When designing and coding I’m led to believe that you can only choose one (to maintain compatibility) for everything. So to make sure it works on all models, Mercedes of course had to go with the 7” version, which is perfect for 7” owners but of course leads to a cropped experience if you have a 10.25” screen. Fingers crossed that future models have a workaround for this 🤞🏼

@8:35. I am pretty sure you don´t need to swicth from auto to override the highbeam assist. Already in 2007 Vw had this system and all you did to override it was to push the lever one more time, If you wanted the assist to work again you just pushed it one more time. To switch between assist and manual high beam: push the lever forward. To engage low beam pull the lever toward you, very simple.

Ah that’s good to know for Volkswagen as I cover them on my channel too! So in Mercedes yes this is how you change from auto beam to manual full beam. Pushing the stalk away from you would just toggle the whole thing on/off.

I live above the Arctic cirkle, and when I drive in low traffic areas with streetlights or places with gardenlights (even the moonlight can sometimes interfere the system) I often change between auto and manual. It would drive me nuts if I had to use the main switch to alter between . By the way, Volvo also have the same way to switch between auto and manual as Vw.

Oh I see what you mean Yes you can toggle the auto to dipped via the stalk so that’s the same But what I was referring to was if you didn’t want the auto system at all and wanted to do the full manually without the car’s help 🤓 Sorry for the confusion!

@@npoleary I meant switching between auto highbeam (with blancking) and manual highbeam without blancking. In case of outdoor lights on a house that interfere the blancking system, there can stand a 600kg moose in that dark spot. If the system not provided with a infra red camera it would be hard to discover the animal.

Hey Mootaz, it varies from model to model but you can see if your car can do it by selecting reverse and seeing if you one of your mirrors lights up (just above the window switch)

I know about the brake hold in my car. I have a 2015 A180. You can switch the transmission to manual mode by shifting one of the paddles.

It depends on the car, if you chat to Mercedes they can check for you to see if you have it. Or on the car on the central screen use the wheel and press Press Home, Vehicle, Light Settings and if you have it, it’ll be in there 🤓

No not at all sadly (although this depends on where you live, specs are different all the way round the world). Chat with Mercedes and they can let you know if you were curious! My first Mercedes didn’t have ambient lighting, it’s usually sold in a Premium / Premium Plus pack in the UK on most models.

Engaging HOLD function is a bit of work (and it works sometimes but not everytime) on Mercedes compare to my old Kia Sorento. Kia HOLD function comes on when car comes to complete stop, and not having to apply sharp push down on break pedal. I can't imagine doing that in busy traffic jam! Am I driving Mercedes or having my leg day at the gym! 😠

Hey Ken, really sorry I wouldn’t know, it depends on what specification you have on your car. If you speak with your local Mercedes they’ll be able to let you know! Or…if you look at your headlight housing, if it says LED High Performance Lights, this is manual full beam. However if it says MULTIBEAM LED, this is the auto one. Hope that helps! 🤓

No sadly not, I’m sure from factory it’s just the SUV’s that have them but check with Mercedes to be sure as the specs vary round the world 🤓

Hello I have just purchased a 2024 GLC 300. And I was wondering how to go into the maintenance mode or service mode. I press the home button and followed a lot of the different KZbin clips but for whatever reason when I go back to the okay button it just says do you want to create a shortcut. Can you by any chance explain that for the 2024 GLC 300 model? I have asked the dealership for assistance but they became very elusive and said you'll just need to bring it in for service. Obviously they don't want me fiddling with my car that I spent over $50,000 on. It's my car I can do what I want with it. If it were a Ferrari it would be different😅 Thank you very much for any assistance.

Hey! Thanks for watching! Sorry I don’t know how to do it, only Mercedes would know. I have seen the menu before but don’t know how to access it. It had something like, to tell the car it’s had a service, reset brake pads and discs (once they’ve been changed) and I think I remember there was something to turn all safety systems off for a rolling road. Other than that I don’t know what else you can do, but sorry I don’t know how to do that one :(
