This was at a time when they were making fun of boybands and acting like all pop music was just bubblegum. NSYNC were so good. Love your reactions!

Fun fact: Which I remember from 'Making The Video': Joey hurt his leg which is why he is sitting down. During the wide shots of the dance sequence he's not even the one dancing. Choreographer Wade Robson is actually the one dancing in his place. If you pause it when they are down on the floor and do the leg dips you can see it's Wade. Joey only did the close up shots.

More interesting fact is that the choreographer is also the same guy who Brittney would later cheat on Justin Timberlake with

Wade is the best choreoprapher of whole world and yes, I also remember that fact in "Making the video".

Idk if you will ever see this but some interesting useless info... nsync wrote this song for the sole purpose of giving it to Michael Jackson (is why it has that Michael Jackson sound to it) but when they contacted Michaels manager to try to pitch it his manager said Michael wasn't interested (Michael didn't even know until later about the song because because the manager never told him) when Michael found out about it he reached out to them trying to get the song but was too late because they had already recorded it... but is also why later Michael Jackson would appear with them in a performance of the song

It's sooooooo good! YESSSSSSS! lol @ "my husband", I think most of us agree. The backstory is they were always considered to be "bubble gum pop" but they wanted to just make music they enjoyed so this album was more edgy. Please react to all Nsync stuff! Definitely do "Drive Myself Crazy." You will LOVE JC's part in that one, but everyone brings it.

@@PancakeMarshmallowDude I have to suggest these because I once did a summer of KZbin research for JC goodness (embarrassing)! Search for NSYNC Pop on Regis and Kelly, and 'NSync Bye Bye Bye -- Gloria Estefan... Ohmygoodness!!!!!

It's fair to say that this was the era when Justin began to "blossom" might I say! Before that, JC was the main talk but you can definitely see JT influences all over POP and all the "Celebrity" songs! You can also see that this song fits Justin's vocals way more cause it's more his style with all the beatboxing and ad libs!! Which is a shame cause that was the start of JC (and the three others tbh) being in Justin's shadow and being unnoticed (you will notice this way more if you watched "Gone"😒) it was the beginning of the end of 'Nsync and it kinda ruins the songs for me 😥
@PancakeMarshmallowDude3 жыл бұрын
I definitely noticed that JC’s vocals were slightly clashing with the instrumental compared to Justin’s! It all makes sense now!

I saw a comment suggesting I Drive Myself Crazy. Might I suggest listening to both the US version and the one featured on the european debut album? JC has more vocals on the european version. For US album they swapped in Chris for some of his verses. Might be fun to do a compare and contrast. Video is of US version.

BT produced this. He is an electronic music genius. Based on how you're jamming out to this song, you should check out his work. (BT is Brian Transeau) ETA: I wrote this comment before I got to the part in the video where you asked who produced it! You're in for a great journey discovering BT 😉 You have to listen to his albums as full albums though, they flow from start to finish. His latest album, The Lost Art of Longing is awesome. You'll hear references to what you hear in Pop throughout all of his albums. I could go on and on, but he's in my all time top 5 music artists. Another edit: He and JC also collaborated on BT's album Emotional Technology. Check out Force of Gravity. JC does the vocals (I don't think there's an actual music video for it though, just the audio). JC also had a part in the song Somnambulist (he helped write it and did background vocals, and briefly appears in the video), which held the Guinness World Record for number of vocal edits in a song at the time it was produced. My suggestion for your next reaction, a BT/JC double header: Somnambulist (Simply Being Loved), and Force of Gravity 😁😁😁 Last edit for real: that part where you went back and mentioned Tik Tok... I vividly remember reacting to JC performing that exact move from my floor seats at their concert during the tour for this album. Yes sir, you are definitely my spirit animal 😸

Again kind of late to the party. BT also has a few collaborations with Tori Amos including a remix of Talula used for the Twister Soundtrack. Tori is also featured in a BT track called Blue Skies. It's very representative of the electronic music at the time.

This is the video where Joey had injured his leg just before they filmed it, so in all the group dance scenes that’s the choreographer Wade Robson dressed up as him, with joey doin the close ups

Fun fact. Joey, with the denim jacket, had gotten hurt befofe the filming. During the dance break, if you look closely, you can see a body double dancing in place of him. That was dancer Wade Robson. Every time you see Joey up close in the video is just his face on another body.
