I always loved the funk in this song and in the official video she seemed so natural and down to earth that she always gave me a feeling of comfort like we could have been best friends and I would have been cool telling her what was on my mind and having long conversations with her on many subjects. She still has that sweet attitude.

this makes me homesick over a time in my life, not a place. Summers outside playing with the neighborhood kids in the garden hose. Knowing it was time to come inside when the street lights came on. Running home from school just to watch MTV because they played music videos back then. School was fun. We passed notes. We read books. We interacted with each other.
