@@JJMetaliki IIRC, in either the web novel or Manga, there was a literal popping sound that occurred during the kick. Unfortunately we didn't such graphic and amazing sound in the anime, but we did get to see him get quite a bit of air. Safe to say, his balls got completely crushed and splattered along with his dick. I'd say he was complete mince meat down there along with a fractured hip bone. I wonder how much of that did the healing magic fix? Even if it was fully healed, he will be forever mentally scared such that he will feel physical pain every time he gets reminded of the instance. Filo best bird.

I’m not too sure about that. In the light novel Naofumi states that Raphtalia just has a habit of charging in. She’s done it multiple times. Iirc it’s because of what happened when they first met and fought the two headed dog. Also, the fight with the nue was longer in the light novel. Same thing with the fight between the bandits, I didn’t like it that they just skipped that part.

@Jer Snipes The "glowing" thing that she had before she dodged was the invisibility going out, but I cannot speak for the anime enough to be able to talk about the exact implications of her abilites in combat and we also don't know exactly how was she trained, or even if her flexibility and reflexes are a natural thing or are attached to experience points or something. Given that, I would asume that it's just a matter of fiction and I would even condemn it, if it wasn't for the fact that she is not a human, and therefore is difficult to tell how natural is for her to fight like that in this "fictional scenario". MAYBE she is just fucking good at dodging attacks because she is a racoon after all and she is agile, I dont' know.

For those wondering, a nue is a yokai from japanese folklore, that kind of looks like a chimera, but isn't related to that western creature of myth. They appear a bit more often in pop culture as of lately, so this might not be the last Nue that you will see in an anime or a game.
