@24djparker5 жыл бұрын
Carl work on your floater. If your floater drops consistently when you drive the ball defenders will step up which will give you room to blow by for layups even if you’re short. 3 pointers come with lots of work on your form. Ball handling comes from repetition also.

Could you please make a video to explain whether we push the ball from set point or using our arm as a catapult? I’m so confused regarding this. When I use my arm as a catapult then my ring finger is always touching the ball. I’m making 1 basket out of 10. Really need to understand what exactly is happening once the elbow is in L position. Would be nice if it’s explained in a video in slow motion. I never learned the technique in school so I’m struggling a lot with shooting 😢. Nobody wants to pass the ball to me. I sit on the bench for 55 minutes and play for only 5 minutes. It’s so depressing.

@rocketskyvolta30047 жыл бұрын
Jump forward. Ha. Land on defender's feet and get jacked up like O'Dell Beckham. Nah.. just concentrate on high arc. Plus jumping in you can commit fowl or defender is taller than you chances of blocking your shot higher. The goal is always to make space to release. Jumping forward only works IF YOUR PLAYING BY YOURSELF

So I am a beginner on shooting the ball ( I have never played a game only shoot) how can I become more accurate
@johncraftenworth78477 жыл бұрын
if you want more arch, look at the rim to aim, but watch the ball, do NOT keep your eyes fixed on the rim, with the ball out of your field of vision for a time. Watch the ball's entire flight. This will naturally increase your arc. Also if you shoot a fadeaway, this will naturally increase your arc even more than your normally high arc! Watch some larry bird clips on youtube to see what I'm talkin 'bout.

I’m a 5’7 12yr old power forward who’s a little over weight, bad shooter, but plays hard d and gets rebounds. What do I do?
@verbalkint42587 жыл бұрын
Gordon Hayward’s Ankle turn that weight into muscle and practice your shooting everyday. If there's a gym you can go to then go there, if you have weights in your house use them every day. Do pushups and especially sit ups.
@huntermacdonald71737 жыл бұрын
Facts no hacks thanks
@deadeye.-41147 жыл бұрын
Gordon Hayward’s Ankle I was a player like that once, and I became a godly shooter. And no matter what people say, here's my advice. Don't lift weights. At all. You are going to be used to be a power forward so if you stop growing and fuck up your bones with weights, people will beat you to rebounds, your defense will become subpar, and you will have no purpose. All I can say is, become a great shooter. There are tons of shooting techniques that you need to incorporate into you game that will make you a much better player. Tilting your feet, loading the ball low, keeping your elbow at 90°,shooting between 45° and 55°,soft release, etc. Putting these fundamentals to muscle memory has helped me, a 5'10 12 year old PF/PG shoot like I'm Pete Maravich. People will discover, oh he's a bad shooter, run a 2-3 and we're good.... type of mentality. By eliminating weaknesses, you are making people work for YOU. They are trying to find an answer that doesn't exist. What's a post scoring PF gonna look like shooting threes? And we have Kevin Love. What's a PG doing playing like a PF, we got Westbrook. And making yourself hard to stop will give you more time to be able to fix your game and become a great basketball player. I hope you take my best advice that I may give and I wish the best of luck to you.

Azno dont use as much power as you would use in a 3pt shot. You have to not think about shooting and let muscle memory do the work.
