The guitar legend pops in to talk about his brand-new "Bumblebee" 4N and explain that tone isn't in the gear.
Nearly 40 years ago, Nuno Bettencourt walked into Mouradian Guitars Co in Boston where Pat Badger was working and they formed a bond that would change their worlds. In March of 2024, Pat Badger and Nuno Bettencourt, of multi-platinum band Extreme, along with their tech, John Thayer, invited PG’s John Bohlinger to talk through their current rigs.

I just saw Extreme at the Ryman and they ROCKED. His Bumblebee N4 sounds badass live. I’ve been a fan since @1988. You can’t go wrong going to see Extreme and Nuno’s red hot guitar licks.

Was there that night at the Ryman. These guys sound as good (if not better) than they did 30 years ago. Awesome show! Great job Extreme! And Living Color wasn't too bad either. 🙂

I prefer Nuno to Vai , Satch and all the others because Nuno is quirky and reminds me of Edward .

Nuno is THE most underrated guitarist in the industry!!!!! His legendary status is not enough! He truly is in the top tier along side those that he has looked up to! I appreciate how humble he is but his Talent is unparalleled! He has his own style and no copy-cat ! Much respect for that man’s talent!

It doesn't look like this is a regular production model. The back of VH II was even more iconic that VH I. DLR in his red & white pants and EVH with his black and yellow super start, very cool.
