Nutnfancy I've got to give you 2 thumbs up. I've been watching a lot of reviewers on youtube over the past two years and I have to say you are by far the best. No one I've seen is at your quality level. Good on ya.

I have this very same vest and I have to say that it is the best system I have ever run. I am a small frame guy and the vest adjusted perfectly. A bit on the pricey side but well worth it. Nice review.

Just a suggestion! I served in the Israeli army, and we had vestets which were with velcroed pouches to put a fitted sponge at the lower stomach area, which will take the vest away from your body (good for prone), and will add rigidity. For the rest of the vest it was sewed with some really tough Cordora (which wasn't really comfortable!) but was very durable, it takes alot of intensive hard training to make them fail.

I love that pistol rig with the coreplast (white plastic) I agree the vest should have more pockets on the interior so you can add armor, plates, etc. to add rigidity to the system. great vid, thanks Nutnfancy.

I like this vest. I don't current run a load-out vest but I could get used to it with this vest. I like the usefulness of the MOLLE system over something like a cross-draw vest. I like having the ability to change up my gear locations with relative ease. With a cross-draw vest, everything is pretty well predetermined as to where it will be riding.

I had an adapter so that i could transfer my holster from my thigh rig to my chest. The reason was that the thigh right got in the way when inside a vehicle. I was a combat adviser living about 75 miles away from my counterparts so we spent a lot of time on the road.

you could always go back and punch some holes in that corrugated plastic in the summer, if it's too hot. I definitely agree that they overlooked that feature. common sense tells you that if you put a large amount of weight in one place, like a pistol, that the material would tend to sag and be pretty uncomfortable. nice modification though.

a lot of the price comes from them using the multi-cam material. haven't checked but od, tan, or black will most likely be less.

i'd agree though. I was lightning fast in transitioning from the thigh rig. I tried it with the cross draw but found that, while my hand didn't need to go as far, my sling and but stock got in the way making it difficult to get a good grip.

I have personally worn the Dragons Skin body armour and it is very comfortable. The reason it is not issued is because it does not stop rounds as well from the side. straight on it is amazing but at an angle the round can travel through the discs. I have not been shot while wearing dragon skin so I don't personally know. However, that is what the testing report I was given stated. Also dragon skin cost me about $5,000. That's a lot of stand alone plates. Hope that helps.

Great review as always, seems like a decent vest, definitely a different POU as it's merely a pullover. But honestly, for that price I'm surprised you didn't knock it more in the affordability area. Especially cause it's quite flimsy throughout and just a vest, not even a crossdraw w/ attachments already in the price. You still have to pay for all the MOLLE you need to attach to it. Not the best option by any means, but at least something new. Thanks!
@Yebache15 жыл бұрын
nice vest. I like the chest rigs myself for magazine carry but a vest could be VERY useful if it had camelback option. great review sir.
@shawnmlynch14 жыл бұрын
For those of you who are saying you would want your vest to carry armor and are complaining that this one doesn't. That is because it was never designed to, hence the name OVER ARMOR. To Mr. Fancy: I totally understand your review and you do make the point that it is an over armor vest, but you still refer to "improvements" to the contrary. Unless I am mistaken, all of the suggested improvements you want are for a "stand alone" molle system which this was designed NOT to be. Just say'n... ;-)

as far as rigs are concerned nutn's reviewed th 5.11 vest, the tac-force vest, one of the black hawk rigs, an early version of the condor vest, and now this one. all those are actually really affordable I own both a tac-force and a 5.11 chest rig and don't have $80 into the 2 combined. you just have to know where to look.
@YokoWenis15 жыл бұрын
I have to say the Spec-Ops vest isn't as good as the 5.11 Tactical LBE vest in every category except the availability of multicam. The 5.11 vest offers hidden document pockets, hydration pocket and a hidden reinforced handle, not to mention is 50% cheaper. I own the 5.11 plate carrier in black ($15 on sale), and the Tac-Force crossdraw vest in coyote brown ($55 on sale) already loaded with accessory pouches. Both are Nutnfancy recommendations, but I can't say the Spec-Ops is a good value buy.

Do you ever run the belt + suspenders type LBE's? Nutnfancy we need some more SpecOps reviews, even just a simple 10 minute review on a dump pouch or X6 Ar 15 would be nice or there M.O.U.R chest rig. They're having a nice blow out sale at the moment, the M.O.U.R is normally $120 and is only $20 at the moment.
