This really isn't because you're meat only, it's because of lack of carbs. You could still, and should, have a healthy amount of carbs and your cravings won't come back. What you're experiencing is what people experience on keto .

I have been on Carnivore since August and I eat lots of fatty cuts of red meat. I have lost 15kgs and have more energy than I have had in the past 10 years. I tried an 18 mile bike ride last week that included a 17 percent gradient hill, and I got up it in one go. Thing is, I've not been on my bike for over a year after I fell out of it and was eating lots of processed crap. The first time I went up that hill, on carbs and other stuff, I had to stop twice to get my breath. It took me a few visits to get up in one go. How is that possible on Carnivore that I can ride my bike like I've been training for months already? Joint pain gone, better teeth feel solid now, better sleep, allergies almost gone, better mood, enjoy my food way more, feel satisfied after meals because I'm eating proper food. Also WAY better digestion and zero issues in that respect. In short, I am benefitting massively from this. Not had a plant in a long time, and do not feel the need. Besides the quality of fruit and veg is way down in recent years. Well that's just my experience, and I'm sure I'm nothing special in the big scheme of things... BTW, I tried to supplement with beef protein instead of whey protein and it's processed crap full of sweeteners and rubbish. No need for either now. THE BIG DISADVANTAGE of a carb based diet, even if it was good for you, is that it is just too easy for many to over eat due to the addictive nature of carbs. In my view, I'm not an expert but I have walked the walk.

I've been following the carnivore diet for over 4 years. The toxic effects of plants are well-documented in studies. Specifically, those relating to oxalate toxicity. Whilst he brought up some good points about the flaws of nutritional science, some points were out of touch, as usual. Keep up the great work Roy, I'm happy for your improved wellbeing!

@@carnivore-muscle Thanks mate, It is the gift that keeps on giving as far as I am concerned. I agree with that guy on one thing: Always approach things with a critical mind and test it out for yourself. Do not blindly listen to others. I'll add be wary of modern science as it can be guided by once unthinkable means. Follow the money trail. For me, money means nothing if you do not have your health. Proper, savage, unleashed health. Youth type levels of health. Look at old Billy boy there, Multi billionaire - trillionaire wannabee but he's a fat sad old man. shame, he could have done so much better with his money.

I agree in part, although your theory on fats is misleading, fat has nothing to do with the nutrient-density of this food but rather the energy it provides, carnivores use ketones from the breakdown of fats by the liver, the most efficient form of energy, this is one of the reasons they eat very low or no carbs, that's why carnivores can fast 23 hours without even breaking a sweat, because after a while they are perfectly fat adapted.
@rkirwan1
@rkirwan1 4 ай бұрын
Fat, as an energy source, just like carbs, has everything to do with nutrient density if nutrient density of a food is considered (nutrients/energy content). More fat or more carbs for a given amount of nutrients means lower nutrient density. As for the comment on ketones being the most efficient form of energy, that's true only when consuming exogenous ketones (i.e. a supplement). Ketones produced from bodyfat are actually somewhat less efficient than glucose metabolism. That's not saying there's a problem with ketones or ketosis, there's not, just they're not inherently more efficient as a fuel. It's also very possible to improve fat adaptation without eliminate carbohydrates from the diet, as is regularly done in endurance athletes. I would also say, there are plenty of people who eat carbs frequently (including myself) who would have no issue with a 24 hour fast or longer. Again, none of this is negating the use of high fat/low carb diets, it's just clarifying scientific facts that sometimes get misinterpreted.
@frankvinti925
@frankvinti925 4 ай бұрын
@@rkirwan1 It's possible that I misunderstood and I will not watch the video again to check, but you mention that lower fat or leaner versions are a better options, not the fatty options, I think it's misleading and very debatable, it depends on individuals, fats are essential for the carnivores, they do not eat carbs so no glucose, the liver can certainly produce some from protein, but ketones will also be produced in good quantities, then it becomes essential to eat fats, if you only eat chicken and lean meat as you seem to say, well a carnivore will risk having serious problems with to much proteins and not enough fat in the long term, unless I misunderstood and sorry if that's the case.
@rkirwan1
@rkirwan1 4 ай бұрын
@@frankvinti925 No problem. Just a simple misunderstanding. I said that leaner meats are more nutrient dense than fattier cuts because as energy content increases, nutrient density goes down, so that statement isn't debatable. If someone isn't eating carbs then fats will definitely need to be in good supply to provide energy, but that's a separate concept from nutrient density is more to do with sufficiently meeting energy needs.
