Totally agree. He knew the truth about the best human diet for decates and was cruxified for it. They wanted to destroy him and the truth at the end was the winner. If anything, his trail was also for many of our South Africans watching, be converted to banting, ketogenic and later Carnivore. I am so glad that the rest of the world is waking up and taking note of this man’s wealth of knowledge. 🙌🏼🙌🏼

I’m 58 yrs but I don’t feel young lol I feel 58yrs old. Mentally, somewhat emotionally and definitely spiritually. Spiritually should be making me feel joy IOW YOUNG What is joy but youthful exuberance? 💃 🕺 My spiritual needs some care. Then perhaps I will feel 58yr young too! It’s just so affected by physical dysfunctions. This is a problem as In SPITE of our present sufferings we find joy in He Who fashioned our very genome and in His creation all around us. I will take this matter srsly in the coming weeks as I continue in my journey. “It’s the climb” after all, eh?

I'm 58 going on 24. There is nothing I can't do that I could do when I was 24. I have zero joint pain after a lifetime of running. I did just give up chronic cardio in exchange for 8x100 m sprints three times a week. This seems to work much better for me. It's much more time efficient.

I have battled with type 2 diabetes for 40+ years. Six weeks ago we (my daughter and I) started Ketovore. Since then, I have reduced my insulin from 17 to 2 units; off of Invokana; off gliclazide (2 a day); off cholesterol pills; off 2 high blood pressure pills; and off of Ozempic from the first week. I have lost 3.5 lbs which is alright and now I am only 10 lbs overweight. My poor doctor is in shock. My bs is riding normal high - which is alright. I am feeling so much better and am looking forward to the future with great hope. I saw the ophthalmologist this morning. In 2019 he found a bulged blood vessel in my eye which is a sign of diabetic retinopathy. Today, the bulge is gone and he says my eyes are perfect. He was shocked too. I am so grateful to the Lord for showing me this way of eating (and he literally spoke to me one morning and said, now is the time to change and showed me what I needed to do!

Don’t abstain Simply start by water fasting (1 black coffee or tea a day if u must). No diet drinks. No broth. Just electrolytes and water. Don’t buy the drinks, they’re all sweetened. Put some quality salt on ur hand & lick it off. Real Salt is an affordable quality salt. Take a chug of water. Put some NoSalt on ur hand & lick it off. Chug some water. I use 1/6th of a tsp NoSalt. Take a quality mag in capsules (tablets don’t absorb) at bedtime. Repeat the salt and potassium (NoSalt) a couple more times a day. You can also lightly salt ur water thruout the day if ur feeling fatigued or rly crappy “keto flu”. Sugar can only be eradicated, not controlled. It’s like “controlling” a volcano. Do a 3-5 day water fast. Then NO sugar once u start eating again. Very limited berries for fruit. It’s hard, ur body thinks it’s cruel but YOU know it’s a drug. Be well 🙂

If you check your blood glucose early in the morning, it might be due to the "dawn effect", where glucose is naturally higher than normal for a while. Some people see that go quite significantly up. Maybe try again a couple of hours later. If the high reading is just due to the dawn effect, I don't think it's anything to worry about, so long as for the rest of the day it's down.

It's so sad to deal with the prideful attitudes of academics who hold so tight to beliefs they feel are being threatened. I work at a college. I am the ADA of the Nutrition Dept. As a database administrator I function as a statician. I am very suspicious of stats and research papers because I understand how numbers can be easily twisted to support biased beliefs. I am always checking my own data. When I told a user to correct data she had input incorrectly , this person ran to the Dean and complained that I had " hurt her feelings". I was reprimanded, I took an appeal through an appeal "court" with a 75 year old professor who did not understand the importance of data compilation and I was put off 2 days without pay and ordered to attend " Sensitivity Training". Of course when asked about diet I promote dumping all processed faux foods, grains, suger, seed oils, etc This raises eyebrows because we supposedly need " essential" carbs. I was a mid distance and long distance runner in my teens, an Olympic contender. I look back and I now realize I was pre-diabetic and grossly inflammed through high carb intake only able to function because of the saving grace of running every day. It was only after a series of body insults one right after the other over 7 years that brought me to near death. In a terrible perfect storm of inflammation cascade I was working in an 80 year old building that leaked chronically and had high mold and fungus spores.Judy's mold information helped me to force the college to move me out of the offending building.Series of body insults: I had a broken back in June 2016, became very sedentary, multiple serious upper respiratory infections back to back from building, Big C #1 in late 2019- March 2020, serious spinal surgery Feb 2020, Pandemic forces lockdown in home NO EXCERCISE March 17, 2020. Long spinal surgery recovery, Big C #2 Dec 2020-Feb 2021, employer insisted on jab in 2021. Suffering strange symptoms, no one mentioned adverse reactions at that time. Spinal surgeon first to tell me about "Longhauler Syndrome". Serious massive pain got worse and worse, enlarged heart, chronic lung congestion, swollen lower legs and feet. Went to emergency first time in life Sept 21, diagnosed with officially with C Longhaulers, C Sequelea, adverse reaction to jab. CT scans showed multiple tumors on left side of body in left eye, liver, breast, lymph system. High intensity tomography breast exam 4 weeks before jab showed clean breast tissue. Was too sick to function had to work hard to clear up lung congestion to survive anesthesia for lumpectomies. Started reading research and frantically studying. Dec 29, 21 exposed to Big C #3. Doctors wanted me in hospital. Terrified of hospitalization I begged for CGM, my oncologist said "Why,?" I knew I was battling for my life. Jan 22, I went to keto, ate every other day and realized I was a suger addict. I cannot eat suger in moderation. I just can't. I have to do abstinence. My tumors reduced after 45 days on keto and IF. March 14, 22 two lumpectomies. May, 22 radiation which on retrospect grossly added to inflammation. Reached stage 4 radiation poisoning and radiation " therapy" was stopped early. In intense pain , joints like cut glass, muscle aches so bad I couldn't drive or sleep. Not one doctor ran tests for inflammation markers. Went carnivore July 7, 22. Realized raw milk caused pain to rise. Realized addiction to dairy. July 22 #4, recovery much quicker, Jan 23 #5. Health dramatically improved due to Real Foods giving nutrition desperately needed. Went from walking 50 feet to 8 miles. Lungs cleared. Off all allergy and asthmatic meds of 20 years. Off all psych meds, antibiotics, antivirals, carbs. One supplement of Armour thyroid for Hashimotos has been reduced by 50%. I thank you both for saving my life.

Alan Aragon talked about seed oils recently. He says there is no evidence that they are harmful. I listen to Alan, so is he wrong and would you be willing to debate him?
@ekondigg67518 ай бұрын
With seed oils, there are three main issues (there's also a lesser known one claiming they cause macular degeneration). First is a fairly new hypothesis that, on a mitochondrial level, specifically the linoleic acid in seed oils promotes weight gain, and that this is a more important effect than sugar consumption. This is still an untested hypothesis, based on understanding the biochemical pathways in the mitochondria. Getting funding for testing the hypothesis is likely to prove impossible. I don't buy it. All we have to do is look at people who achieve good and long-lasting weight loss results like Dr Westman (and myself 🙂). They don't do it by taking people off seed oils. The second issue is that, being majority unsaturated, they oxidise readily. Compounded by using high heat in the extraction process, which accelerates oxidation, by the time we buy the oil off the shelf, it's already heavily oxidised (only takes 14 days for most seed oils to be heavily oxidised). Using oxidised fatty acids for cellular construction is a bad idea because the structures incorporate faulty material. Long-term harm is very difficult to prove. The third issue is that there is a huge omega 6 - 3 imbalance in fat consumption if seed oils are mostly consumed. The body needs both, but with a typically more than 20:1 imbalance in favour of omega 6, the circulatory system suffers from low-level inflammation. While low-level, long-term inflammation is never a good idea, long-term harm is difficult to prove. Even though difficult to prove, the second and third issues are enough for me to keep off them, invoking the precautionary principle.

35% of calories from protein seems a bit much to me. Measuring protein by calories gives the wrong impression because the mitochondria cannot burn protein ... it is for tissue and hormone construction, etc ... not for energy production. True, it can be converted into sugar, which can be burned or further converted into fat and stored for later burning ... but the conversion process is supposed to be a last resort survival thing ... not a sustainable or optimal thing. If I can use only one hundred grams of high quality protein per day ... but ingest 250 grams (1000 kcal) per day ... then 150 of those grams must be either discarded somehow or converted to sugar ... a metabolically sub optimal process at best, and a more or less toxic process in any case. I say 1000 kcal because that is approximately 35 percent of my energy requirement ..but 250 grams of protein is way too much for me ... since grass fed butter and other easily metabolized healthy fats are avaiable to me. Doesn't the excess sugar from too much gluconeogenesis contribute to metabolic disease? Remember "rabbit sickness" from too much lean protein when blubber was not available? Many of us have had to lower our protein intake to 72 mg per day (from a dozen good eggs, say) to restore optimal health. Some body builders think they need more ... but that's because they are fat phobic ... eating lean chicken breasts ... making rabbit sickness into a lifestyle ... a miserable part of their bulk and cut cycle ... and totally unnecessary!
