They tried to send him to a planet with no sentient life that can still support him living there so that he couldn't harm anyone, and no one can harm him either. However, when Hulk discovered he'd been tricked, he tried to destroy the ship while he was on it, which sent it off course into a wormhole, which landed him on the planet Sakaar. This planet was full of people that were as strong as him, and he eventually conquered it, and found peace, happiness, and acceptance there. But then the ship blew up, and everything Hulk ever wanted was taken away from him in the explosion.

He was supposed to land on a peaceful uninhabited jungle planet but the hulk broke out of his restraints, damaged the ship and sent it crash landing on the slave planet. @ yeah the worst part was carol was a well written character until she became captain marvel when she was ms marvel she was good but as soon as she became captain marvel her writing took a nose dive. Also hulk got disrespected by Hawkeye killing him don’t get me wrong I love Hawkeye he’s my second favourite avenger but he should definitely not have been the one to kill hulk. Also the plot was so contrived and made everyone idiots just so they could fight if they had a 3 second conversation it would have been over. It was just padding for secret empire and they needed hulk of the board because he could have killed hydra cap easily. At least we got immortal hulk from it.

Captain Marvel was definitely better when she was Ms. Marvel and I honestly don't blame Hawkeye too much because at this time, it has been a while since Hulk took over, and Bruce really didn't want to let Hulk out again since he was suppressing him. He did ask Hawkeye to kill him if he was ever about to turn again because he didn't want to hurt anyone and go through all that pain again, and Hawkeye held up his promise to Bruce but it was Captain Marvel's fault that he had to die because she saw a possible future where Hulk would rampage and kill everyone, so she brought almost every hero she could gather and that's what set him off, not being able to live in peace and have say at all. So yea, she pushed him to that possible future, but I understand about getting Hulk out the way for Secret Empire and don't mind it since, like you said, we got Immortal Hulk.

@ yeah when ever I think of civil war two I only ever think about how it was good that it lead to immortal hulk but I don’t think about it anymore than that because otherwise I get mad. The only compliment I can give it is At least it’s not secret empire because that was an ok story which was made bad because they made captain America a nazi and that is VERY problematic due to historical context and also both his creators being Jewish and him being made to fight back against a pro hitler narrative in America at the time and then the image of nazi cap holding Thors hammer was used as fuel by neonazis and it was just really mismanaged.

Its not just that Hulk isn't stupid, he's as smart as banner. It's just that he's usually in such a fit of rage when he is Hulk that he kind of lives in that moment of seeing red, so he has a really hard time USING that intelligence. That's one of the major reasons he's such a threat, and why he instantly became a huge threat when he reconciled his two sides. Its also why I HATED what they did to him after Civil War. He's supposed to be a smart Hulk, not a buff Banner.

Ok I gotta defend Banner/Hulk here. Man is a defender of Earth when the Earth Hunts him, tried to kill him, shuns him, etc.. He finally reaches a good point in his life and then boom the Illuminati (which are all people Banner called friends. Including Dr Strange, Reed Richards, Tony Stark, Black Panther, Namor, Black Bolt) send him off world against his will where he is enslaved and forced to be a gladiator. Note as a gladiator he was meant to fail as the King was a dick. Against all odds the Hulk came out on top, became king. Got a wife, was going to have kids, he was happy. Then a nuke went off and killed his wife, kids, and people. Like the it wasn’t ok what the hulk did but a person can only take so much before it just boils over

@@Mechakingleo big reason why I no longer like many members of Illuminati is their actions as the Illuminati. 1. Comic Book Iron Man is a complete failure of a character. He has the mentality that he is always right and justifies all his actions with the Greater Good. I argue with people that the Superior Iron Man isn’t really that different from normal Tony Stark. It’s just Tony with his intrusive thoughts gone. (God Tony as my example) 2. I never liked Namor. He’s a worse Tchalla. 3. Tchalla is cool. He is a King who worries about his people first. Saving others is a secondary choice for him. I respect that. 4. Reed Richards. He is not nearly as good a guy as people give him. Council of Reed. Ultimate Reed. Reed is a monster given a pass because he is useful. How many series were caused by Reed carelessly doing research 5. Black bolt is boring and never really interesting. 6. Charles Xavier may not have been part of the vote but he would have done it. Not to mention he has been another monster pretending to be a good guy for years. 7. Dr.Strange. I like him but he suffers from Narcissim like Tony. Though he has gotten a lot better since secret wars 2018.

The skrulls were taking key people and replacing them with identical shifters who had their memory and really thought they were the people they were replacing. In Black Bolts' case, he was taken during Illuminati, and they had him captive for a month or two, so during World War Hulk, when he started his war against the Illuminati for revenge and went after Black Bolt first it was just a Skrull who had no where near Black Bolts true power. Hince his swift and easy defeat. I'm not taking away from Hulk, but the Black Bolt downplay from some people is just wild 😮‍💨

They take parts and pieces from good Hulk stories(which he has some of the best in the Marvel comics) and dumb them down to be props in other characters movies. I'm glad someone pointed this out, because it's my favorite tie in to World War Hulk. The Spirit of Vengeance is the only one who could have take out the hulk with his OP one shot kill penance stare. But it was Johnny Blaze the person who fought and lost to the Hulk, Johnny wasn't trying to kill him. When Blaze is knocked out, the Spirit of Vengeance take over and Penance Stares the Hulk! But it doest work, because he judges the Illuminate as Guilty and the Hulk Innocent. People argue over whether this is correct or not but, abstractly I think they are miss understanding a few points. Even though Hulk is "innocent" it does not make him justified or blameless to his actions.

I beseech you to react to Planet Hulk. It is, without a doubt, one of the best comic books I have ever experienced. It's not only a prequel to this story, but in my opinion, it's even better than World War Hulk in every way imaginable. Planet Hulk is the reason why Hulk is my 3rd favorite superhero of all time. 1st is Batman, 2nd is Superman. WWH feels like a side event to the main one, which is Planet mother trucking Hulk.

The Planet Hulk was suppose to land on was a safe planet full of animal life a place where Hulk could live out his entire life in peace but a wormhole happened also HULK has no upper limit to power as his anger grows so dose his power he is the strongest. They massively nerfed the Hulk in the movies like for instance Thanos is in no way a threat to Hulk and could only deal whit the Hulk when he had the Infinity Gauntlet and even then Thanos feared the Hulk

The "What if" story about the Hulk landing on the planet the illuminati aimed him at instead of Sakaar is kinda sad but wholesome, he does eventually get a kind of peace, defending the locals of the planet from monsters a they evolve into sentience.

Hulk's strength is driven by his rage, and technically has no upper limit; Banner's persona keeps him in check by having psychological limiters to Hulk becoming ridiculous. At one point they were temporarily separated and they tossed Hulk into the Dark Dimension with Dormammu (from the first Dr. Strange film) only to have Dormammu eventually show up, begging for help, as the unlimited Hulk had kicked the crap out of him and was literally tearing his entire dimension to shreds. He's _that strong._ In Wold War Hulk, the Hulk persona had learned super-A-class anger management and could then raise his strength at will without losing control. After watching his wife and child literally melt in his arms, yeah, it made him a little upset, but he was able to channel that emotion into a burning soul that _gets things done._

It's far more like trying to release an animal into its own environment, and someone transports it instead into the middle of a city, or someone shooting a gun at an isolated target in the middle of nowhere, and someone redirecting the shot to hit someone in another country. Basically, it's equivalent to saying that someone did something bad to some one else, and the taxi driver who drove them there is responsible because it's because of them that the wronged/ vengeful person being there, and now the wronged person is taking it out on everyone else

Darwin has an ability that adapts his body to resist ANYTHING to survive, even turning him into the god of death at one point. Against Hulk, his body teleports him away lol the best solution to fighting hulk is to just not lol

Definitely need the full context of hulk to understand this story a little more, they've tried to kill Bruce banner multiple times at this point before sending him off. And to understand exactly how unkillable hulk is you should definitely cover immortal hulk and his role in the Thanos comic with cosmic ghost rider
