Sure, it´s a movie trope that the hero remains cool under pressure and goes back to normal immediately etc. but Wendy goes beyond that: She broke several hearts and her reaction to it was pretty telling. Most girls would also have more of a problem with someone too young falling for them. The most obvious thing was how she goofed off at every job or duty she was given. She didn´t even care about losing a job and was even proud of how she abused her position for personal gains. She pretty much thrives when everything goes to hell. She´s also one of these people that (un)willingly cause others to do bad things and usually they´re the ones that have to pay the price at the end, whereas she´ll weasel herself out of the situation. Still, Wendy is a very likeable badass. I bet that you can find more hints if you rewatch it.

what alex hirsh did with Bill was genius. he was so chaotic and seemingly ridiculous, but he was actually a genius villain with a goal and he did whatever it took to get what he wanted. he manipulated people so well and got them to do his dirty work while still keeping up his end of the deal. he’s just the best antagonist and it’s impossible to dislike him.

I'll be honest I saw his defeat being both him being outsmarted but also falling to his own hubris. I mean how do you kill something like Bill at that point without going back in time and stopping him before coming through. Once he came through to Gravity Falls, he was unstoppable and he wasn't about to go back through the portal to his dimension willingly. I mean how would you go about killing him other than dragging him into someone's mind and killing him in his original form by erasing their mind. Bill would never have considered they would switch places and erase someone's mind especially if he was going into Ford's mind that Ford himself made impervious to both Bill and the mind eraser. There was no way he could lose... until he did.

What's so great about Bill as and overpowered villain is that he KNOWS he's overpowered, and decides to flaunt and have fun with it - unlike those "OP" villains who are like "Oooooh, just you wait until I UNLEASH MY FULL POWER!!!"...and then never do. They just reuse the same tricks. But Bill constantly does the most sadistic things possible and even puts a comedic spin on what he does. Basically he's one hell of a villain with an excellent sense of dark humour.
