Beautiful space, great pricing. Her style is so eclectic, which works with all that sq footage. Good first episode, Nyasia; my only suggestion would be to keep the final closer to 15min rather than 20min. (Plus that'd help cut down on the popup ads, hopefully...)
@NyasiaC4 жыл бұрын
StarinthewingsNews I like the 15 minute mark as well, but not if it sacrifices the story. I cut out showing 2 other bedrooms, 2 other bathrooms, and 2 outdoor spaces to get it to 20 mins 😉
@StarinthewingsNews4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, her space was kinda larger than life, which i understand pushed the length. Being that your goal is a mix of the property, plus the owner/their style, i think it's ok if you end up not showing "less interesting" rooms. But again, i get it...this one was a whole lotta house.

@NyasiaC4 жыл бұрын
So glad you liked it Monica. Yes, the reasoning for the cotton in her home was so touching.!
@askmalika52124 жыл бұрын
That vase of cotton was a gift from a good friend and client that also happens to be a doooopppppeeee designer (Niya at Ishka Designs) ...I saw it in. His home and loved it and he gave it to me as a welcome gift ...and it just felt right going there and a form of grounding and acknowledgment from whence we came And the hard work that it took before I was born. I am because they were. Oh, something Niya told me when I first closed and before breaking ground...he said: take an air mattress and sleep in every room and get a feel for the house and energy while you wait for permits to begin work. You will have a better idea of what you want to do once you’ve lived in it... and sure enough that one bathroom on top floor that I did not change was a direct result of that 30 day exercise. I decided that going right next door wasn’t so bad and I didn’t have to make it an en-suite. Check Niya out at www.ishkadesigns.com You can follow me on @askmalika and @houseofoyo

@@askmalika5212 I LOVE that you replied without being offended. So many ppl nowadays go into a “don’t worry about what it cost” spill when these types of questions are asked. Like, I get it but if you open your home up like this and are inspiring other women/men like you to aspire having something like this, I think it’s fair & realistic to share that it ain’t cheap or easy but it is obtainable. Your response was very graceful!💎
