@panamasrose3 жыл бұрын
First off, the prices. There is way too much inventory out there for anyone in their right mind to settle for either of these apartments. That being said, the first apartment would require a sofa bed. This gets folded away in the daytime allowing for more space. In the second apartment I'd do the same thing. Also, in each bedroom a bunk bed style, with no second bed underneath, would allow for storage under the bed. Either that, or a bed frame that sits 17 inches off the floor allowing for under-bed storage. Other than that, thumbs up for enthusiastic presentation. 🙂

@Myraisins13 жыл бұрын
Actually many untouched vintage apartments do not have closets in the bedrooms. Any closets were added later, sometimes very awkwardly. Furthermore, outside of the USA many bedrooms do not have closets. People get stand alone armoires & wardrobes. However your point is well made since those are not bedrooms specifically because of their size, and are likely illegal. To add, that area is not a living room so it's technically not a two bedroom but a one bedroom if even that. These are nonsense NYC real estate marketing techniques. Very frustrating but a reality.

If I were living there I would get a futon so that it mostly takes up the space of a twin but can fold down to a double bed As an aside I’m currently looking for apartments in this price range. For the 1st apartment I would get a full size loft bed to sleep on top and feel like I've 'left' my general area. Underneath I'd have a desk with a short dresser and 2 ottomans to sit or a rolling chair that lowers. Outside of the bed area I'd have storage bench with pillows as a couch against the wall by sink , a mounted tv and a tall and narrow case for storage , knick knacks and a plant near the window. I'd a pretty tv tray or one or 2 of those small end table trays. I'd watch TV on bed and if people came over I'd use laptop as TV and place on tray in front of storage bench seating and/or pull out ottomans. Alternatively I'd do a loft bed with loveseat under neath facing out. Across from bed would be a mounted tv and foldable table or tulip table with adjustable height
