Excellent idea for a video, excited to see how your campaign plays out.

Great idea for a series. I haven't played oathsworn and i plan to, so will avoid spoilers, but would love this for other campaign games when you complete this one.

Love these kind of videos for campaign games. The app is great and the video tutorials linked through the app is an excellent way to learn the game. Our group made the mistake of applying the determination rule during the story mode during skill checks.

How interesting! Good job on this.

100% agree with Zee about EQ. We put ours out on the table. Then, as we used the abilities we inserted them into the cool down rotation. Keeping them in hand just kinda gummed up the whole process for us.

I'm on Chapter 14 and have loved Oathsworn a lot, except Chapter 11 which feels broken beyond belief 😅

I’m currently on Chapter 7 (so good…) and I absolutely love this game. It’s my new #1. This far in, I don’t think I make many mistakes anymore and things move pretty smoothly, though enemy movement/targeting/facing uncertainty is definitely the most common issue.

I´m thinking of buying this. Might pull the trigger soon :-)

I love this game, I've just finished painting the Huntress character - and we've already completed a full campaign playthtrough. 😊

Thanks for the video! My game group will be starting this after Sleeping Gods. Are you playing with three? If so, how do you handle the 4th character? Do you use a companion? Can you rotate a companion between players for different sessions? Thanks!
@jwomlo8 ай бұрын
I'd use a companion and either decide collectively what happens or the starting player. You can alternate between actions anyway

The rulebook is excellent but there are lot of little things that can be missed. I use Justin's rule (Restoration Games) of The Rule of Cool and do the most thematic thing that makes the most sense if I run into any small issue. I'm up to Encounter 8 and I'm still having a blast. Every game session makes me fall in love with it more. Thanks for doing these videos!

I thought when the enemy attacks with a broken part you draw 1 card less of the highest color. Meaning if the enemy draws 1 black 3 red. Now they only draw 3 red. Not draw and kick out the biggest number

You are correct, see encounter rulebook page 22.

Thanks for the video. For the point at 5:00, it's true only if you miss after used a redraw token. If you miss without used a redraw token, you don't get back all tokens spend + 1 of your choice.
@JerzyMuller8 ай бұрын
You do. Determination rule triggers every time you miss, unless the ability card says otherwise.
@JerzyMuller8 ай бұрын
There is a „after redraws” in the book, but that’s only to not trigger it if you miss and then redraw into a hit.
@LeeKenshin78 ай бұрын
Yeah, we understood this wrong initially too. But we were gaming it somewhat as long as we had a redraw token. "Gonna miss anyways or do insufficient damage and don't wanna spend the redraw token for whatever reason?" Use the redraw token on the numbered card/die and since it will still be a miss, get that token back and a +1. It's a way to play with the probability of the might deck or just roll if you don't wanna touch the deck because it has a high hit ratio.
@TeamCGS20059 ай бұрын
Oh dear. The fact they can't even get the rule book right (for any rules you had to find out of the rule book), is a concern. Thanks again Zee and Camilla for this.
@PeterSulzen9 ай бұрын
I wouldn't be concerned at all about the rules or rulebook. The rulebook isn't bad (I'd give it a solid "B"). I think most games of any complexity need a review of BGG rules discussions and FAQs to play correctly. This would likely be in top tier of most gamers lists for best "boss battlers" so if that is your cup of tea, the rules shouldn't scare you away. But i would think twice (or thrice) about Aeon Tresspass Odyssey, for the rulebook.
@sebastiang.50329 ай бұрын
The rulebook is ok, nothing too serious there.
@Noobwater8 ай бұрын
almost every rulebook is not perfect.
@GoodEggGuy8 ай бұрын
@@Noobwater There is no "perfect" because different people respond well to information presented in different ways. You can make a rulebook that is decent for everybody but, no matter what you do, you can't make it perfect for everyone.
