GUYS YOU HAVE TO MAKE THESE. My entire family said they were amazing and so good. I put about 1/3 a cup of dough in each and it make exactly 8 I also didn’t have a fancy mixing pot so I just used a spatula and it worked wonders. Just make sure when you have the butter to mix it quite a lot and also when you put the sugar in so it will be really fluffy. Also make sure to refrigerate them for an hour (that’s what I did) Whenever I don’t refrigerate cookies they get really thin and not nice but these kept their shape and came out really thick and round. They were 100% worth it and I’m going to make these anytime I want cooking. They are also technically healthier bc of the oats. Heheheheh. So yeah great recipe all in all and no complaints.

I grew up in Ohio and knew how to make a cc cookie before I was 10. So, I have been making them for well over 60 years. Today, I wanted to try something new and decided to try your recipe. And I must say that they were probably the best I have ever made! Thank you! I never took the time to chill them before baking, nor did I put extra chips on the dough as well as adding a little sea salt on top. I was afraid that they would be too salty but they were just perfect! I can't wait to take them to my sister who has been in the hospital for 6 weeks. They will really help to cheer her up. I tried this recipe yesterday and double the batch to freeze. Needless to say they are nearly gone. Elevation matters. For mine it was 12 minutes and 3 on the tray before cooling for a light chewy golden brown. I especially like the cookie isn't greasy from the butter. I used salted butter and refrained from adding more salt. Our Fire Department will enjoy these Christmas day. Thanks for sharing your tips and recipes.

This recipe is outstanding. The perfect ratio and balance of flavors and textures .Everyone who tasted them fell in love, and now they want ONLY these cookies whenever i mention baking any. My only addition is 1 cup of chopped and toasted pecans and a TINY bit more salt (not a ton, just a little bit more). I also tried the recipe with and without brown butter and i couldnt taste much difference, but if you have the time brown butter wouldnt hurt by any means.

I tried these out and they turned out great! Here's some tips: -Put the cookies on the top rack of the oven -If you don't have vanilla extract you can substitute it with maple syrup, that's what I did and it worked great -Don't turn the oven off when you are waiting for you last batch, wait for them to be finished properly, then turn the oven off and take out the cookies, otherwise they will turn too crispy and crunchy instead of soft and chewy
