When I see the Inquisitors squabbling, it reminds me of what the Sith were like in the Bane trilogy. Bane had a lot of critiques for how the Sith were operating, but part of it was that they would fight each other to gain personal power rather than achieving their goals. To me, the Inquisitors are an example of why the Sith didn't work as a collective. They're still not the best villains, but I didn't mind them as much with that framing in mind.

I really appreciate this point of view. That’s a great way to look at it. I still think they shouldn’t have acted quite so childish - even given this perspective - however, I really like this lens to view those characters. Thanks for sharing!

I really thing that the inquisitors squabbling is reminiscent of why the rule of 2 exists. The sith crave so much power, jealousy is inevitable

I just remember thinking the entire time “Why Reva even at all?” Like why not (and I’m sure there’s some legal bullshit of some sort with what you can and cannot use for whatever reason) adapt Starkiller into being an inquisitor?

Yeah… Reva and the inquisitors more broadly are the worst part of the show. It’s unfortunate because by Episode 5, I almost like them. ALMOST

In canon Vaders suit wasn’t made to hinder him, Palpatine allowed Vader to make any changes to his suit Vader wanted

Do you have any canon sources for that? I tried looking into this, because I was curious. Only thing I could find was that his suit was made out of very basic parts - so not necessarily built to cause him pain. I’m very curious if you know of any instances! I’d love to know more!

@@BeyondTheDuneSea Star Wars Darth Vader (2017) Issue # 001 - Palpatine asks Vader what he thinks of his armor and Vader responds saying it’s “acceptable”. This is the original suit Vader was put in at the end of ROTS. Star Wars Darth Vader (2017) Issue # 006 - Vader gets his original suit damaged after battling Jedi Master Kirak. Palpatine reassures Vader the droids will repair his armor. Palpatine senses Vaders anger from this and tells Vader “This armor is YOU - it is only appropriate that you should make it your own, especially with your skills as an engineer. Adjust the suit as you see fit, my apprentice.” Then we see Vader using the force to make changes to his armor. I can’t recall anything else from this comic series off the top of my head in regard to Vaders suit. For all I know there could be conflicting statements in canon in some other comic or novel that goes against this. I use readcomicsonline.ru when reading Star Wars Comics

Great to see you guys talk it through but I’m still with Seth, this show was a struggle with too few good bits spread between the bad. Also I feel like the fact that it was meant to be a movie shouldn’t excuse what they did to make it into a tv series, we have to judge it on what it is not give it a pass because of what it should have been. That said I wish this was a movie too😅

The comment that hit home for me in the 1st episode was when Owen said “ Like how you trained His Father.” To hear him say that to Obi Wan ( aka Ben) was Bold but very pejorative because what Obi wan has been through seeing his best friend fall to the dark side and defeating him on Mustafar was very interesting

All ima say is if ive been hunting someone for 10yrs who chopped off my limbs and left me to burn in lava, IM NOT LETTING HIM GET AWAY TO COME B AND BRING HIS A GAME?!?! for what him to do it again? Idk i dont agree with that notion that vader let him escape cus he wanted the rematch becuz had they not intervened he would have captured him and just tortured him. My Mans grabbed a spaceship Mid air with the force thinking obiwan was on it

Again, my whole argument is that Vader is driven primarily by irrational emotions. Which sometimes creates a train of thought that makes sense moment by moment TO THAT CHARACTER but harder for us as audience members to rationalize.

52:04 I see your guys point on Reva after thinking about it. I think the Actress played her perfectly, don’t get me wrong. I think the character was used a little too much. Looking back at it now, I understand why the did it, but they could’ve used her character in a different way that’s my opinion on Reva. Great character, great side villain. Just used in a different way

I respect your love of the show but personally I can’t get past how bad the writing is, the cheap production of it all, the wasted opportunity. It’s just not good, but if you love it that’s totally cool.

That’s cool man! I know my opinion isn’t the majority, and that’s totally cool. It was fun to present my case and hear Seth’s opposition as well. Next week will be fun, getting into the last three episodes where I REALLY love it and he really hates it

I think that’s part of the fun of being so into Star Wars and part of why we all love it so much, is that we can all have different ideas and opinions of what we love and don’t love but have so much fun getting into these discussions, as long as we aren’t all just attacking each other and being too negative hahaha we don’t need that kind of energy anywhere
