Objects in Focus: Conserved Swatch Book

Join Research Librarian, Amy Hietala and Collections Manager and Curator of Textiles, Rebecca Beall as they discuss an 1823 textile swatch book and its conservation. Old Sturbridge Village has many swatch books in our collection, however this one from Rouen, France has been studied and reproduced many times. Though our collections staff has done their best to preserve the book, it’s continued use and importance made it a perfect candidate to be conserved. Learn more about this swatch book and how the conservation work has given it new life.
