I would definetely recommend boxing the frame. I have made up a set of Poly engine mounts for the LS/LT engines that mount to the stock mounting points. I also made up a drop out trans crossmember that welds to the inside of the boxed frame. Helps stiffen everything up for that added power

Look into a Rack n Pinion conversion, and do away with the drag link steering.

I've been telling him the same thing. He hasn't yet to even mention it. Elevated in my opinion makes way better suspension setups than any of the off the shelf brands you can buy.

You should coat that floor with to bed liner and satin black paint the bed liner actually works as a sound detonator plus when it’s painted black it looks really nice

Yep,we know the deal, but I've been here quite awhile already. Those trucks were beautiful already, but knowing how you like things done, they're going to be better than ever (under statement). Thread two opposing corner body mount bolts into the cab and hang a plumb bob off each one. Then glide the chassis back under it and line up the plumb bobs. Done. One shot body mounting.

while your there you might as well replace the cab bushings, they start to sag after a while and make the bed look like its bent.

AGR out of Texas makes pretty nice steering boxes. I think they offer a couple different ratios. Pro - Forge tie rods ends, adjuster link and upper / lower ball joints is about the best I could find.

I wish my 93 obs was that clean when I bare framed it. But then again I probably would not of took it down to the bare frame. It was a pretty easy decision to bare frame it with 425,000 miles on the O meter. She was worn to the bone and as dirty as pig in mud pit.

It's been awhile since look at the OBS QA-1 front coil over kit. But if I remember right you need to cut the front spring pockets out of the frame.

Not to be a know it all, but the transmission in the ‘90 454 trucks are TH375 not a TH400. Long tail shaft, smaller output shaft than a regular TH400.
