The thing i find bizarre about these people is that they live in these amazing, historic homes that people took care of and took pride in for generations...then they just let them go to pot. It’s so disrespectful, especially since a number of them appear to have been left the property and not even had to buy it themselves. Fair enough she has a lot of stuff, that’s fine, but there is no need for things to be dirty.

This programme and others like it seem, to me, to expose our addiction to throwaway consumerism. The same old tired possessions such as unused exercise equipment, obsolete tech like old printers and TV's, and piles of shoes and clothes, speaks more about our obsession with buying cheap convenience items, than anything else. The solution surely has to include moving towards a circular economy; recycling, reusing and repurposing this stuff, rather than shoving it in a corner and buying the next thing. And the right to repair items, rather than manufacturers building in obsolescence so we buy the latest upgrade constantly, is a big part of that. Vinny and Denise are absolute saints! ❤

So many people are calling her ungrateful and unkind. I know the kindest, calmest person who is a hoarder, and completely lashes out if you try to help clean or move anything, and on the outside does seem ungrateful but it's not as simple as that. It is not laziness. People who don’t take care of themselves lack the motivation to do so , because they truly believe they don’t deserve to live well. This comes from abusive parents. I enjoy watching ocd cleaners in the background when im tidying. My mum came over to have a break from roadwork noise. She ended up watching like 6 episodes. She went home and started decluttering as all of my grandparents stuff was at my parents house when one set died during covid and the other in a nursing home due to dementia early this year. My Parents are grieving so i understood and have been selling things for them in my spare time. I came over to see the result of the new windows and to do some painting and 3 rooms were cleared. And mum was working on the 4th. My mum has said to me that she realised that she and dad lived in a hoarder house and it wasnt ok. she showed dad the show as well. He has started decluttering his shed as well. Mum is ordering a skip once the council finishes the roadwork. So my message to the internet is if your parents hoard leave ocd cleaner on your tv when they come over for a cup of tea or coffee

So many Rooms. You need a Company to keep it clean. Even without OCD. It would be beautiful if somebody took care of it. With beautiful furnitures it would be really cool. I would do something . Mouse Traps, a Cat or something else (natural things) to prevent Mouse from coming in.What an arrogant Woman! She should be thankful for help. She is blind.
