How about separated D-pad buttons instead of one big button. It's better for fighting games and no one did on the duelsense. It exists only for DS4 at the moment.

Thanks for the video, this was pretty easy after watching. Just one thing on the newer controllers the final two silver screws before you lift the components out and can access the buttons are not there. (5:10 in the video) They must have updated the design and omitted these two screws on later productions. Got confused for a minute trying to find these. However the inner controller frame still just lifts straight out like normal.

Good video but your camera keeps focusing on your hands which then blurs the controller not sure if you could turn auto focus off next time?

I was thinking about getting the PS5 pad.... but I'm a fighting game player and I literally have to replace the silicone for the Dpad every month or so.... and this looks like around 4x the pain in the ass as doing it for a PS4 pad... So I'll stick with PS4 ;D Edit: I wrote this before finishing the video.... I'm gonna change the 4x pain in the ass to around 7x pain in the ass.... LOL I do NOT wanna have to do this monthly.

Thanks i mostly did this to change the rubber plating under the D pad and the. buttons because i hate that mushy feel of the duelsense while playing fighting games.. although my dualsense is a slightly different model where u remove the motherboard "like so" well if i didn't look i probably would of broke those tabs. It was a long journey but i made it back controller feels better again thanks for the vid

Might seem like a stupid question, but could you not keep the board and ribbon cables plugged in, and still unscrew the longer silver screws to access the shape & D-pad? Seems a bit long winded to have to completely disconnect the ribbons if the entire board unit comes out as a single piece. TIA!

My left direction on dpad doesn't seem to be working. I've definitely slipped something out but can't work out what's connected to it. Do you know which cable this might be?

Currently we were just using some of our PS4 buttons that we still have from awhile ago, I don't believe PS5 has custom sets out yet. Sorry TT! Wish I could help!
