It was the best looking watch you have had on your channel. A good review. I have always have had a soft spot for Tudor Pelagos, with this you do not need the orginal. I agree with you that the name and the branding are not bad. From the bunch, Octopus is one of the most original names and that has a meaning that, at least, I can relate to (Unlike my Rdunae watch…). I like their logo on the second “o” and how it looks in the crown. I think that it’s much cooler than say, San Martin. Thanks for the video!

I have the IXDAO Pelagos homage on order which is another one that doesn't seem to be getting much attention. After I review it I'll do a comparison video with this Octopus.

Beautiful watch, great review. I can absolutely see why you're so impressed but I'd struggle pulling the trigger simply because for the same money there are 3-4 other watches I would also like. Does quantity beat quality? When the differences are measured in small degrees, for me it appears so.

Does the titanium have anti scratch coating?

There is no mention of it. It is grade 2 titanium which scratches easier than grade 5. A real Pelagos 39 uses uncoated grade 2.

Thank you for the video. I would consider getting this watch if only the manufacturer implemented surface hardening of the metal of this watch. Or better yet, choose stainless steel and either use ice-hardening or tegamenting. In such a case, I would not mind paying twice or even three times the price to get it.

I buy most of the watches I review and sell them when I'm done. The more expensive the watch the harder it is to sell without taking a big loss. I made an exception for this and the IXDAO strictly because they are Pelagos homages.
