Now this is something which I've been waiting a while to see! It's so great to see a small home with a solar system capable of charging an electric vehicle. It must be a really great feeling to create independence, not only from the grid, but also petrol companies! I hope you all enjoy this weeks tour. With love, Bryce & Rasa!

When they started dancing on their porch my heart actually leapt with joy and I thought this is how you live; this is how we should all be living ! They are not just in touch with nature ,but with each other and their tiny shipping container home just completes this perfect circle of being ! We should not envy them, but be inspired !

It's not that difficult in subtropical areas. "In winter, maximum temperatures vary between 13 °C and 19 °C, while minima vary between 6 °C and 11 °C", and I suspect they also see sun for most of the winter. No real need for heating, and most importantly they don't need to store electricity to survive through the winter darkness. Just some reserve for a car charge and a rainy day (literally). Heaven on Earth, indeed.

No AC and not using electric cooking which is why that size of a solar system was able to have the overhead to power the car. I'm so happy for them to be living their dream. It's possible for all of us. Even if you can't buy or build a tiny home yet, you can still take steps to be free. I think, many people wish to be independent in that way, but aren't able to do it. They even can run a car by their solar system! That's fantastic.😳 And the design of the home is beautiful, too. Very nice. It warms my heart to see a couple striving together for a common dream and getting what they have obviously worked and planned for.

WHAT - A - BLAST!!! This home proves what can be achieved with good foresight. And if someday they need more space, they could simply bolt-on another container. Bravo!

We really like this couples story and their tiny house and we think it's totally cool that they can charge their electric car from the solar panels. We hope they have many happy and healthy years in their tiny house.
