The wording of this title is misleading. This officer is NOT the killer of 16 year old Susana. This is an officer worked the case when Susana went missing. Another cop (Miles Bryant) kidnapped and killed Susana. FYI, Jasmine is Susana's sister. He just said the wrong name

More officials cried on the stand in this trial than I’ve literally ever seen in any other trial in my life Edit; it’s also interesting to me that he says he neglected his family to find her. But when he saw his daughter, he saw jasmine. Wouldn’t that make him want to stay closer to his daughter? On the other hand, I could see why he’d focus on jasmine and not so much his daughter, because if he related the two..it was probably scary to look at his daughter for a while.. like that’s a pain no parent could fathom trying to endure, so maybe he distanced himself as a trauma response, as well. Idk ..just interesting..
