The whole Chyna gimmick (whether it was a good gimmick or not, I'll let other people argue) was that she could compete with dudes because of her freak-of-nature strength and athleticism. Her work was obviously limited, and people are allowed to think what they want of her - I'm not a huge fan of her in-ring work - but in kayfabe that was just the gimmick, straight up. Pockets' gimmick is that he's too clinically depressed/low-testosterone to care about anything or feel emotions or whatever. Apathy is mutually exclusive with competitiveness. Strictly in the kayfabe universe, Chyna would break Pockets in half. This is a much, much lower mark for Jarrett. At least when he did the job for Chyna, they were actually drawing some eyeballs. Lately AEW is lucky just to break a million viewers in any segment.

When I think of one hit wonders that are fun to go back to, Rick Astley and the later developing Rick Rolled trend is still a better time than watching this garbage

Exactly Brian!! Who wanted Saraya to come back? Most people didn’t want it for fear of her getting hurt again (and hurt for good!) a smaller group because they don’t care about her (she hasn’t wrestled in like 5 years) and the smallest group wanted her back. Ruby has only Tony to blame for her position because he’s the one booking the women’s division (which is horrible might I add). So this whole promo means nothing and the people she’s criticizing are the smallest group of wrestling fans in America (seriously who is an actual fan of the AEW woman’s division?). So she just crapped all over their own fanbase because the rest of the Wrestling community doesn’t care about these women. So is she mad because people don’t care? Or is she made because her own “fans” booed her? Like every single wrestler in that company somehow all their problems are from WWE fans even though WWE fans don’t watch AEW and they sure as hell don’t watch the AEW woman’s division. The execution of the promo was fine but like everything in AEW it doesn’t make sense because who is it directed at and what does it have to do with whatever angle they are trying to push?

She hasn’t wrested in 5 years and before that she wasn’t setting the world on fire because WWE was still the divas division and they were having 4 minute matches. Also no one wants to see a woman be paralyzed because AEW is known for being rough and unsafe because people are constantly doing dangerous moves for no reason and they botch them on every single show. So then she comes back and most people don’t really care and she proceeds to have bad matches because she is very limited due to her neck injuries and then when people don’t care about her and boo them because if they have to watch this divison they at least want to see a decent match. Then after all that she blames the fans for why she’s not getting over instead of the billionaire son who’s booking this train wreck. So from my estimation when you come back and no one cares and then you blame everyone else but the booker and yourself for for why no one cares. That right there is gonna make people care even less and any sympathy she could have gotten and used to help her get over is gone.

I have not caught them all because I just can’t sit through a full AEW show regardless of who is on it, but honestly, strictly my opinion, her matches haven’t been horrible, she’s taken some bumps here and there, and the Baker match they kinda pushed some limits to see how far she could go. I don’t know maybe its because I’m a simp for her and I’m willing to own that. But yes it’s been “meh” but not horrible I’d say.

the podcast comes out Mondays they don't just do shows to review AEW Dynamite or WWE Smackdown/RAW, they have Monday podcasts and Thursday podcasts 2 per week-- sometimes they cover PPVs that happen over the weekend on the Monday pod then they cover Dynamite on the Thursday podcast (meaning they would've watched Dynamite the night before) This week they skipped Dynamite until after the weekend (since they just did the Revolution ppv on the last Monday podcast). And they'll wait a day or so before reposting their pod onto YT. Just listen to the podcast when they come out if you're impatient... but AEW reviews usually'll be a day after Dynamite on Thurs not on Mon Also-- the podcasts are about a bunch of other things not just wrestling tv reviews, often Jim spends the entire podcast answering questions from fans on the Thursday pod and barely has time to do an AEW review. Be glad to get what you get, or do your own YT review.

I tried to watch AEW but it’s an unwatchable disgrace . Everything is slapped together, not one of the matches are without planchas and dives all the same moves ,styles and looks. No match is without a botch, accident or near serious injury, most of the matches are messy and the wrestlers mostly look like windbags and clowns I honestly would prefer WWF mid 1995 or a boring old matches at least they portrayed something looking like a real sport a convincing professional wrestling match. Today it seems like they are obviously working to do constant stunts and 720* swanton bombs and it’s jarring to watch especially women nearly crippling one another.

I've been a diehard fan of Corny since the mid 80's when I first was introduced to the awesome world of professional wrestling. How I miss the 80's through even the Ruthless aggression era. Now I just watch Dynamite on Wednesdays and SmackDown on Fridays. I refuse to tune into Monday Night Raw (it's just way too long, drawn out and sad). Not only that if I ever need to know how Raw goes I simply go to either Corny or my boy the Amplified Man BC's channel. I know one thing for certain if I had the Khan family type money or McMahon and can start a promotion I would easily have Corny on my team backstage at a minimum. Whether or not you like the man for whatever reason, you cannot deny he has a great feel and mind for the business. Guys like him Heyman, Ross at one point in time are literally on the Mt Rushmore of creative minds much less announcers and managers.

Jim is a walking encyclopedia of wrestling knowledge. If I had a promotion and unlimited resources I would give Jim whatever he wanted, and I would put him in charge of creative... With that said, I think he is 100% wrong about Orange Cassidy. He's consistently excellent in the ring, and his gimmick is entertaining. I get that it's not for everyone, but to completely just overlook the fact that he produces good matches, is just stubborn and incorrect. I fucking hate Sammy Guevara. Hate him. Like, I would physical fight him if I saw him. Even still, I have to give him credit in ring. While he's dangerous to himself and those he works with. There's an intensity to his matches and he's willing to do some crazy shit.. So Jim doesn't have to like his gimmick. But he should at least acknowledge that Cassidy has skills in the ring.
