This movie is fudging terrible. That beam wouldn't have broken those columns off. Yes, it would have caused damage to the windows, but not enough to break the columns and cause the floor to collapse. "It's a movie, relax." - you can't keep using that excuse, and there are people out there who do overthink about things. "Don't watch it then." - I just came across this clip and got reminded how much I don't like this and why I don't like movies anymore, and if everyone had my mindset, studios would go bankrupt.

2:18-2:45 Notice how the sound is utilized. The triumphant classic score is used. Then, the music fades out and the world becomes muted/quiet. You hear only the sounds of Spider-Man's effort, some environment noise, and Gwen's muted screams. Then the music comes back in/returns and crescendos to create impact and a sense of triumph/victory. All three Raimi movies utilize silence to create higher impact of magnitude in a given situation. Happens when the pumpkin bomb blows up in Peter's face in the first movie, when him and Doc Ock fall from the building side during the bank heist, when the car blows through the window of the café and Peter dives to save Mary Jane, when Harry throws Peter through an office building window and he almost loses Aunt May's ring, and when Peter returns the bomb into Harry's face during their second fight in the mansion. All those scene mute/dampen the sound before having a high impact return (in musical score and/or loud sound). You don't notice it if you don't look for it. But it literally makes the action so much more climactically powerful and cinematic. MCU could definitely take some notes.

I especially liked the look on Captain Stacy's face when he saw Spider-Man save his daughter though in Amazing Spider-Man it was completely different as the Captain Stacy in that film wanted to arrest him till right upto the end when the 2 of them worked together to stop the Lizard even though sadly it cost Captain Stacy's life.

This was a damn good movie. I hate how much undeserved hate it got. I think the only downside to many of the fans was Topher Grace as Eddie Brock. He was the only person who was not quite comic book accurate but I loved him as venom. You know how most people do they see one little thing that I hate that’s not comic book accurate and then they just gotta ruin the entire movie. The deer loved it the fence loved it the world loved it.
