The never ending "can ppl be platonic friends" debate really irritates me... as a lesbian I've always been able to switch from a crush to 100% platonic if a girl is straight or just not into me. I'm "masc" and into femmes and mostly have femme best friends. It's not that hard. It just makes me think that gender roles makes people of the opposite sex feel entitled to not respect each other's boundaries or something?? Idk i don't get it.

They said consistently, if it's like everyday for multiple hours and then talking even more at home over the phone or something, then the person isn't actually dedicated to you. If you're spending as much time with your childhood best friend as yur SO (and this doesn't apply to every situation), then your priorities aren't in order imo. Kennedy is so genuine I personally can tell how special it would be to know/date her. How it’s so hard to find someone who you can be completely open with. A lot of what she say resonates with how I see things. Coming from a guy, who’s had a hard time with dating for a lot of similar reasons
@kieranmorris9827
@kieranmorris9827 8 ай бұрын
Huh???? she’s just attractive. Kennedy is the furthest thing from genuine. She contradicts herself every 5 seconds 80% of her personality and opinions are made from presumptions she doesn’t even have experience for. like “I hate all men even though I’ve barely spoken to any” “body counts don’t matter but you’re crazy if you sleep with people you don’t care about” “I’m not vain but I complain about everything someone is, does, looks or acts like non stop for no reason.” She’s so socially inept she just decided what is deemed morally and socially right with no life experience or self evaluation. She genuinely believes she knows more about life and people than someone twice her age and 1000x the social interactions. To put it bluntly. She thinks she’s something she’s not and thats her whole personality. And she thinks that because nobody around her has the sense to remind her she has literally no idea what she’s talking about.

The men/women friendship convo is difficult. Ive had male friendships as someone who was married and then when i was single.. i have never wanted to cross any friendship boundaries, and as soon as singledom hit, the men came out trying to go further. in my opinion, it's alright to have platonic relationships with the opposite gender. The thing is if your friend is in a serious relationship with someone, both should set boundaries from the start that they should distance themselves from their friend in a relationship. It's called respect and understanding the "unsaid rules" or "girl/boy code". In my case, however, my ex can't set boundaries with his gbf and they both disrespected me and talked sh*t behind my back (know this, my ex asked his gbf if he could court her before and she busted him, now that the gbf is single, my ex was losing his feelings for me bcuz he's giving attention to his gbf rather than me) while we were in a relationship and that's unfair considering that I set boundaries with my guy friends (never hangout with only 1 guy friend and no romantic feelings as well) so that I won't have to show any reason for being disrespectful and unloyal to my partner. So yeah, i guess it depends on the situation.

Sweet summer child. Women can be just friends with men bc men and women are completely different. No man is wasting his time on a girl unless he wants her or one of her friends or is gay😂. I have five brothers, eight male cousins and they all told me. I didn't believe them and tried having friendships with men... everytime... months or years later, I found out they always hoped for more.

@@Keyrose-my3xr there are 7 billion people on this planet. To base your opinion on this topic based on Western cultural ideals and a very sub section of the population is close minded. Fully platonic relationships can exist.

Lmao, the mom is so delusional :D Her whole idea of ''can men and women be friends'' depends on how she sees the other person, and not vice versa.

13:28 I bet she doesn’t know the textbook definition of the word. Like every other wo ķe buzzword, its meaning has been lost from being overused improperly as insults towards people, mostly men, correctly stating a fact or pointing out a provable observation.
