Given the desire to make things liability safe'ish for guests, finding the caves(best found peak Winter) this is the way to go. And as mentioned, find those warm blooded creatures sharing your ranch. By the way, I was one of the people that mentioned making a ranch branded high end vinegar from all that wine. Was curious if that ended up being viable? Im not sure exactly why he sold it but i do remember him making a little apology video about the prices and offering refunds or something. Something about they were told the steel in the blades were much better than they actually were and the prices they were charging turned out to be a little high after people let them know that the blades were made of cheaper steel. I dont know if that had anything to do with him selling it but it could have been a factor. I bought one and i still carry it, its been a solid knife.

Hey Matt, Airstream owner here. I'm sure this comment will never get read, but just in case. And I'm making some guesses about your heater problem, so I could be wrong. But hopefully you see this and it helps you. You mentioned thinking you need a generator to heat the trailer, which makes me wonder if by chance you didn't know you have two heating systems on your rig: the heat pump/AC unit on the roof (definitely needs a generator or shore power, and is only efficient in heat mode down to about 45 degrees outside), and the propane furnace (will run off of your battery just fine- only needs electricity for the igniter and fan, which are 12 volt. obviously you also need propane). Off grid and in low temps like that, you'll definitely want to use the propane furnace. The dometic thermostats on the trailers are terrible and really hard to use. So I also wonder if you weren't able to navigate to the propane furnace using the thermostat and thus never tried turning on the furnace. If you were able to turn the propane furnace on, you would have felt air coming through the vents that are on the wall close to the floor (round , usually with black louvered openings). If you felt air for a minute or so, and then the thing turned itself off before getting warm, then it is probably a clogged sail switch. the furnace will start blowing cold air first, and then it will ignite. The air has to flow first to avoid igniting with no air flow (would melt your furnace down and cause a fire). So the sail switch sits in the path of the airflow. It's a lightweight flappy thing that will actuate the switch if it moves. Sometimes dog hair, dust, or whatever can cause that switch to now throw as far as it needs to. So your furnace might think air isn't flowing even if it is. Easy procedure to clean it. Ours stopped working on our brand new trailer after a few trips, and I was shocked that only like 5-10 dog hairs were enough to cause a malfunction. Here's a good video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/j6CvoKmnfc-MfbM Also, one really handy upgrade is the MicroAir easytouch thermostat. Super easy touch screen- your guests will have an easier time figuring out how to operate one of those. It also has bluetooth and wifi. Hopefully this helped!

Great video, Matt...always enjoy your content. Keep one thing in mind though...your financial success doesn't always extend to everyone, Dave Ramsey's advice or not. Example: 30 years ago I was involved in a motorcycle wreck, and my medical bills were ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS more than my insurance covered. So all those twenties you spoke of...went towards those medical bills, and then oops, the water heater blows up. Oops, the furnace takes a dump. Surprise, surprise, the transmission in the car begins to slip. Gosh, you must have heat and hot water, right? Gotta have transportation, right? So you put those expenses on the credit card or take out a loan, or both. It's your only way out. Then slowly but surely, everything begins to unwind, advancing age becomes your enemy, and your financial "security" transforms into your financial nightmare.

i believe the piles of broken up rocks in the middle of the woods you found were old indian burn mitts, they seem very similar to ones i’ve been on in the same area of texas and was a very common area that they would sleep eat and craft on, i recommend getting a couple sifters and filtering those rocks around there to see if y’all find any neat artifacts!

Loved your video Ramsey is great. The inside of your airstream reminded me of the old airstream my grandfather, and I would use for hunting. It was amazing to me as well when I discovered as a young man how the ice crystals formed like they did on the inside of our trailer. Best to your family

I so hope that people actually listen to your financial advice. It is good to see a young youtube influencer providing good life advice! I heard it all from my father when I was young and from my previous boss Ross Perot and failed to listen and went down that credit path. Thankfully the best thing that came from my failure was being able to teach my children what not to do and so far they seem to be following the right path. Keep up the good work!

Donut ! When you asked with who you should camp, my first thought was Scott/Kentucky. But he would puch kick everything, then throw the table out ;)

Matt, do not spend more than you make. Do not take that 20 dollars and buy that dinner. Also, Matt buy, some clothes 😂

I can't wait to visit your resort when it's all ready. In a few years the wife and I are buying an RV for our 25th anniversary. When we get all set up we would love to make the trip from CA to TX to experience everything you have been working on here. Keep up the good work and hopefully we will be visiting in the future. I always wondered what happened to Matt and Lunkers, judging by the skiff knife comment something went bad between them?

Matt, you might want to explore "Orienteering" ! Aerial Maps have their place, but NSGS Topographic Paper Maps are awesome! You're such a "Grasshopper" !! Black Bears are typically going to be more afraid of you and clear out long before you stumble across them.

I would camp in that trailer still. Reminded me of panning for Gold in the Alberta mountains with my brother. Except we were in a tent and it snowed over night. Good times 10/10 would do again. Cody was a solid bro for sticking it out with you. I'm rooting for you!
